harrys a smashin bloke, the best ! incidentally im seeing him next month at a boxing luncheon in london, cant speak highly enough of harry im afraid as he done a right favour for me a couple of years ago. myself, john h.stracey and charlie bronson had a charity day for the former british middleweight champion and last man to beat sugar ray robinson, mick leahy. mick had sadly been suffering with alzeimers and we wanted to raise a few quid for him, loads of fighters attended. anyway for the auction harry said he would let for the highest bidder have his villa in tenerife for a week, everything paid for. so yea harry is a top bloke, hes been in the acting game for donkeys. everybody knows harry in the fight game in britain, maximum respect harry

Harry Holland has been in the Boxing game all his life, its in his blood.
Was a small hall promoter for many years and looked after some very good fighters in those days, did a lot of shows around the Battersea and Acton areas which were always good value and produced some really good scraps.
Always beside Harry was the unforgetable Johnny Bloomfield a heavyweight from the 70's who trained Harrys lads who is sadly no longer with us, RIP JB.
Harry can still be seen ringside these days with his well known big smile :TU:Thats if you can see his face what with the dazzle of all that gold on his fingers

Just a point of correction for Johnnykayo Mick Leahy was not the last man to beat the great Sugar Ray Robinson in fact Robinson lost another 5 contests after he lost to Leahy. Fellow American Joey Archer was the last man to beat him and that was in the states way back in 1965.
Ray then hung up his gloves and sadly left us in 1989 after a wonderfull career, truely one of the best ever.
