Kell Brook Vs Matthew Hatton - Predictions?

Post by bigB »

As you guys and ladies have great knowledge of the sport what outcome would you predict for this fight?

IMO I am siding with Kell Brook by stoppage between rounds 4 & 8

I know Hatton has so much heart but think Brook will break it and stop Matthew on the evening!

Really looking forward to this show, I will be in the bar before so look out for a big daft tall lad :yay:

Brook will defo win and win comfortable

if he really goes for it and steps up pace think he can stop hatton 6 /8rds

if not hell box comfortable to a decison , hatton simply doesnt have the power or skills to deter Brook

Hattons hasnt proved himself in the Britain and has been matched well on his route to fight with canelo

Watson Beat him easily and i expect this to be one sided

thats my tuppence worth :TU:

I think Brook stops him personally, Hatton comes forward and makes plenty of mistakes, yes his chin stood up against Alvarez and that did surprise me but I believe
Brook hits harder than Alvarez despite the weight difference. I also think he will attempt to make the fight against Brook which will increase the power of the shots he takes.

I fancy Brook to do a number on him similar to Jackiewicz result, hit him too hard and too often to either have him stopped standing up or the ref just calling a day after another
series of shots taken by Hatton.

Struggle to see a way he loses really if I am honest.

I like Matthew Hatton, he's a good, honest fighter - BUT Brook is in a position where he has to look good in winning now to get himself noticed fot a tiltle shot. I think Hatton fits the bill as the perfect opponent. I see him stopped within 6, maybe not off his feet, but definitly stopped.

I think we'll see some competitive boxing in the early rounds. Once Brook has a feel for Hatton's power he'll step it up. Late stoppage (R9-R12) or 117/118ish points win.

Great stuff. He is a good guy with a lot of talent who now seems fully focussed. It's a pleasure watching him develop.I think he will really trouble Hatton with bodyshots. What I like about Kell is that if he thinks he has got someone hurt he is like a shark -he won't leave them alone until he has got them out of there.

Another success story for Sheffield. I hope everyone up there is doing well.

Brook will win, think it might go to the eighth round or so.

Once he does win, I expect a wave of 'he's the best ever' posts to be tempered with a deluge of 'Matty Hatton is useless' posts. Of course neither is true but it will be amusing to the neutral none the less.

Lol, too true - i am quite bemused at the way that Kell (who is such an affable chap) completely polarises opinion of the fans. Some people (no names mentioned exittored) seem to really hate him and even make remarks about his parentage!

I don't think Hatton will get stopped, good chin and very tough, if Alverez could not do it, how can Brook suceed ? Remember what happened to Ryan Rhodes ?

Alvarez underestimated Hatton and was out partying and killed himself to make the weight. For the Rhodes fight he locked himself away in big bear.

Brook should win comfortably, and i fully expect him to do so.

Hatton has proven himself a decent fighter, limited but with all round decent skills.

If you have any aspirations to be a world champ you have to be beating this type of guy pretty convincingly in all fairness (don't throw me in with the hattons a bum crowd though, he's a tidy brittish/euro level fighter).

Brook will have more chance of stopping Hatton than Alvarez had, as the manc isn't going to respect his skills as a boxer, nor his power as much as he did the ginger fella.

Brook wins via hattons corner pulling him out around rd10

Brook will win every round for a landslide points win. If Matt can hang in there for 12 with Alvarez, he should manage the same with Kel.

Alvarez camp for Hatton fight was awful.
He'd split up from his bird (Miss Mexico) and wasn't living the life.
Weight issues etc then all came home to roost.
De La Hoya now sees that as a blessing in disguise.
For next fight he was sent to Big Bear for a 10 week training camp and that came shining through.
Kell in 3.
He's on fire.

Matt Hatton was always going to show Alarez a lot more respect though, what with the kid being labelled the next De La Hoya and all that jazz.

He wont show Brook that same respect, and will open up a bit more leaving gaps in his own defence. Brook has more chance of stopping him than Alvarez ever did IMO

Kell needs to smash him and should do with ease there are alot of casual fans to be picked up if he does a number on mathew and nothing else will shut up the haters needs to leave even the biggest doubters in no doubt of his talent .
Alvarez has given Matthew Hatton credibility rightly or wrongly if kell hammers him at welter when he went the distance with Canelo at light middle can only give American pundits good things to say when their hyping up.future fights .

Brook on points; I think the fight will be closer than people think as Hatton has bundles of experience and is tough and wily.

Brook will be tested, this a step up for him and I think he will win by a few rounds but wont have it his own way.
