Michael Katsidis vs Albert Mensah

Post by crusader »

According to Dan Rafael, Michael Katsidis faces Albert Mensah (http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_ ... &cat=boxer) in Las Vegas on April 13. The bout will be broadcast on ESPN's Friday Night Fights.

Mensah is a capable Ghanaian who hasn't lost for seven years and is coming off a win over Canadian prospect Andre Gorges. I think this bout will say a lot about where Mick is at. A fighter can lose to Burns and Guerrero and still be world class, but if Mick has major problems on the 13th it's clear that he no longer fits into that category.

Will be good to see Mick in action again.

He really needs to win this. I hope his training changes have helped his game. I would love to see him rematch a couple of the opponents he lost if they have

I think it is improtant that Michael Katsidis gets his confidence rebuilt after the losses to Robert Guerrero and Ricky Burns because after those two fights he must be questioning his style and and all that and that must be getting him down, and to be honest regarding Juan Manuel Marquez unless he landed a hail mary shot that completely decked JMM it was likely he has going to lose to the slicker, more experienced and more technically gifted JMM but he held his own in there for 9 rounds. He is always a crowd pleasing fighter and I hope he gets back in the ring soon gets a couple of good wins on his slate and show that he is still a top 10 Lightweight.
