Looks like long time Bridesmaid will become a bride for the second time as Jesus Chavez, who waited an age before losing his first world title shot, will fight Levander Johnson for the IBF Lightweight title. Of Course Chavez lost to Mayweather in his first world title fight but then later won the WBC Super Featherweight title after Mayweather moved up.

Cheavez has signed with team Golden Boy and this fight will feature on the undercard of Barrera vs Peden.

It seemed when Chavez first won a world title he was a champion of convience as it gave Mexican great, Erik Morales, the perfect platform to move up - an easily made, easily winnable world title fight for Morales.

Is lightening going to strike again, but with Barrera the benefactor this time. Barrera has talked of his desire to become the first Mexican to hold a world title at 4 different weights.

Of course, its just been announced that Sky are covering this bill live - so hopefully we will have this fight plus the continued return of Shane Moseley.

Very good post - your comment about Morales - Chavez is one of the reasons I never rated Morales as high as some. Though the Pacman performance raised him quite a bit in my estimation.

Winning against different styles in different places (i.e. Alexis Arguello) is a lot harder than playing pass the parcel with someone you've got the book on.
