Hello from Temple,Tx. I was wondering if you had the time to offer an opinion on how to get information on my personal boxing record. I fought as a professional in the early 90's out of Waco,Tx for trainer/manager Sam Magee. All I can find when searching is more recent postings of people searching for information on Sam, myself and other boxers of his. I assume some of this interest is being generated by myself. Constantly searching. The reason I'm trying to get the information is because I'm currently trying to get my license in several states. Some of the applications want previous records and number of rounds fought etc. Sam Magee died in 95 and I can't seem to find anything about him. My first five fights were in Guadalajara and Matamoros Mexico. I also won a boxing tournament "Quincey's invitational" in Dallas downtown area. Some of the matches were at the old sportatorium. I fought as a heavyweight. Any help would be appreciated. I just want to be truthful in completing my applications. I'm fearful that even though I'm not currently listed with Boxrec my previous record might surface later. Even though it was only 9 fights (one was a DQ for opponent/ was covered in Vaseline). So you understand my dilemma I hope. I don't want to present myself as an inexperienced fighter with no record and then later a 9-0 record surfaces and I ruin my relationship with a commission or matchmaker etc. If I can't find any documentation what do you think I should put on my application? Thanks for your time. John
