Around 1990, I read about a Cuban heavyweight, Leonardo Martinez Fizz if I remember the name right..... he was said to be 100-0 as an amateur.
I've never heard of him since, maybe somebody else has.

Best Amateur records

I have not received the exact numbers yet, but
I think Mark Breland won most of his fights.
I thought I heard he lost like 10 or 12 out of about 300 ???
AND
Chicago had a great amateur years ago, Richie Guerara, I do not khow his exact record but I heard he beat Floyd Patterson at around Middleweight.

If anyone finds out the missing detail about these two please post them?

This page lists Stevenson at 301-20 and Savon at 358-17. I don't know how accurate that is, but d@mn!

Stevenson claims a record of: 244 wins and 14 losses

I haven't gone through and counted up wins and losses on the record I ahve for him.

Also, according to some reports I have seen Stevenson was born in Jamaica, not Cuba, although the Cubans vociferously deny this.

I still have the record you sent me of Stevenson... some interesting notes from it, I think Igor Vysotsky is the only person to ever KO him, and he lost 3 (at least, I only have the partial record) of his 14 bouts in 1983.

14 years as an amateur, Can't beleive he never tried to defect...

I knew an ameteur named Bobby Scoggins who at one time had over 250 wins against (I don't know exactly) less than 15 losses. The impressive part though was that over 200 wins came by KO or RSC. He could hit.
