Chisora vs Haye..... YES PLEASE!

Post by Stevolad »

After tonights 'exploits' I think David Haye and Dereck Chisora would be very very entertaining and would fill a large British venue.

David should beat him but the build up and the hype would be explosive!!!!!

Both men made shows of themselves last night and brought British boxing down IMO.... BUT...... certainly get plenty of publicity and get people talking.

Chisora should be disciplined for the slap, the spitting and the aftermath... he's not a good ambassador for the sport is he!

Haye glassed chisora.

After initial reports of Chisora threatening to shoot Haye and set him on fire I too thought Chisora was out of order too, but after seeing the footage of Haye smash Chisora in the face with a glass bottle in he's hand, you have to say Haye was to blame there..

chisora initiated the whole scenario.

he should have stayed put in his chair and argued his point.

instead of that he gets up like a twat wanting to start trouble again.

ban him. :shame:

No its not. Are you blind or something, he's clearly punching chisora with the bottle in his hand rather than smashing it over his head. I can tell you now a clean punch from a heavyweight will do more damage than bashing a little bottle on someones head.

The bottle still in one piece technically he hasnt even bottled chisora.

Chisora's been promising to slap Haye throughout, so you can't blame Haye for expecting something. Maybe a slap; maybe wrasslin'; maybe even an overhand. I don't know if Haye going for the shoulder was to save his hand, avoid seriously injuring Chisora, or - most likely - a combination of the two.

Haye should've outstretched an arm to invite a dialogue via Chisora's mic; no need to make it tasty. But in the heat of it all, a sucker punch was never far away. Chisora was the first one in the wrong for getting up, but then Haye's reply was the greater offence. Albeit understandable against an unpredictable man.

Bit of a shame Del's Reliant wasn't around for Rodney to jump off.

No thanks.

After watching that, I think both men should be told by the BBBofC that their days of fighting in this country are over. That is not restraint of trade, that is simply two fighters trying to act like children or animals in an era where we have enough trouble with people behaving like that. And to be honest, there looked like (an intentional?) lack of security allowed that to happen.

Stop talking nonsense, haye was provoked and reacted, it's just sold another fight, if you don't want to watch it then don't.

Where is the line supposed to be drawn, then? When does that behaviour stop being rewarded? When does it stop being defended? Anything to keep the little bubble that is boxing and its media from imploding eh?
IMO, I would be quite happy to never see either man fight again. If they do fight again, I will not put my hand in my pocket to see it.

From slapping a man in the mouth, with whom you intend to engage in a sporting contest later, to spitting into the face of the same mans brother, to then physically confronting the fighter, after you were fairly beaten, and thinking that this is acceptable behaviour and in some way makes you valid for a rematch, is laughable and should be rejected out of hand by all concerned and the viewing public.

And then the press conference, Chisora confronting Haye, Haye assaulting Chisora with a glass bottle, both men forgetting that they are supposed to be their most effective and violent selves inside the ring not out of it, and then Chisora threatening extreme violence against Haye. Not saying 'see you in the ring, David', or 'lets settle this like the boxers we are', instead he resorts to threatening to shoot and burn him. Not big, not clever, and the whole situation is not a good example to anyone, a young fan or a young boxer.

Contrast this with the behaviour of the Klitschko's - they have behaved impeccably all throughout this, and yet everyone is trying to applaud Haye and Chisora for 'selling the fight', as if it needed to be sold on anything other than the combination of their fighting styles and their career arcs. Why are we not talking more about the good example of the Kitschko's and less about Haye and Chisora?

Chisora needs to be banned for his actions this week! Slapping at weigh in spitting at wlad then the brawl & threatening to shoot haye! The main is deranged not fit to box. A real bad image boxing has been portrayed in to the general public again.

Chisora gas history biting people assaulting women.

Chisora is a wild man. Born in Zimbabwe and moved to the uk when he was young. Doesn`t that make him about as British as Lennox Lewis is Candian?

Didn't Tyson get fined for threatening to eat Lewis' no existence kids? Didn't his fight with Lewis get suspended cause of their brawl at the press conference in which he bit his leg.

Chisora's behaviour has been at least on a par with that, I would say worse.

X2 This summer, at the O2. Probably the best fight that can be made in heavyweight boxing. Both about the same size, Haye is the harder puncher, Chisora has the better chin. The build up would be amazing.

Stick some up and coming UK heavies on the bill, Price etc, against someone who will be competitive.

Goldmine! I'll be ringside!

Fighters go up to each others faces tons of times and don't glass each other. Haye should of just kept arguing or got the hell out of there. Haye was getting up in Wladimir's face a few times before they fought so he knows not to glass someone just because a boxer gets close to your face.

Me too. Haye wouldn't have a glass bottle to save him from Chisora's workrate in the ring. :OhYes:
