Christ almighty, what sort of places do you drink? I never knew Coventry was so dangerous.

Chisora approached Haye with a mic in his hand. Hardly the body language of a man coming for fisticuffs!
Hillfields in Cov where im from was at one point in the top 10 most dangerous places in Europe apparently, and i now live just outside cov in rugby where bar fights are even more common place, full of wannabes and people who want to make a reputation for themselves. Im a mixed martial artis that looks respectable so things only usually go one way, they act big and i do damage, then they are shocked.

Bearing in mind the things chisora usually does and the things he had been threatening to do to haye, i cant blame haye for the way he reacted. The tripod was just silly though.

? racists - this is the first time i've actually heard race mentioned. Maybe its more of an issue to you than it is others.
Have you read the comments about this on any non-English-language sites? The world is bigger than Coventry, mate.
no because i only read english and a bit of german. Suarez hasnt been posting on an italian boxing site has he?

Likely to happen? Yes. Planned? No way.

That situation just escalated last night and it was all a bit embarrassing in the end. I must say I find it disappointing that nobody could stop Chisora from going down to confront Haye, given he'd just taken part in 12 tough rounds.

Haye trying to talk his way into fighting for the World title

Chisora trying to talk his way into fighting Haye, then both end up looking like football hooligans.

What those two Clowns did last night made the sport look full of thugs.

Pathetic !

Jesus, Herbie Hide is the only person in boxing who isnt "in on the act" he'd have probably knifed someone, then taken people hostage until a SWAT team ended up storming the building, resulting in 35 people dead.

The world is a funny place.

You're right and it's disgraceful but when people play up to the stereotype, they only add fuel to the fire. Chisora vs Haye will be huge, they have stolen the limelight completely from Vitali. Chisora has lost twice on the bounce, and isn't anything special to begin with, yet he will earn a fortune against another guy who is a master of hype. The cynic in me thinks it's great, the boxing fan in me thinks it's terrible.
Hmmmm

Interesting point, i have for years believed boxing is just 1 big con, as most things in life are. I had never thought of it as cynicism tho.

No-one else is earning their shots. Last night Vitali fought a seventeen fight novice who has lost two of his last three fights.
yes and this 17 fight novice gave him more of a fight than any fighter in the past 8-9 years, when was the last time you seen a fighter take vitali's best shots and keep walking forward? I cant remember but credit to chisora i thought it wouldn't go 6 rounds

Audley vs Chisora actually makes a lot of sense.

I bet Audley is watching this thinking he might have another pay day coming.

He would probably beat Chisora

Sorry to go off at a tangent, but a great book and a very interesting man. Hillfields is definitely a rough old joint. Years ago i used to train at a school there under Jackson White (Tae-kwon do) and also did Jackson's classes at Dev Barrett's kickboxing gym next to the bus station. You brought back some good memories :TU:
