That sort of shit looks good on poster, but does very little to enhance the gate.
Done numerous surveys in my days in Adelaide @ ABCOS Stadium & 80% had no idea nor care what title it was for. They attended to see their favourite local bloke belt the shit outta interstater & have a few grogs
Hence the reason, in OZ, corporate tables surround the ring & they take very little notice what's happening in the ring. They're there 'cos their respective boss is paying for dinner & grog

I agree mate, generally speaking titles mean very little if anything to joe blow and his matyes who are sinking piss ringside probably more interested in the ring girls than some of the fights! Only the hardcore and people in the know actually care for the titles and what they mean unfortunately.

you are right about the majority of the crowd now, they are mainly there to be seen ,and get drunk.Newcastle is the next venue to be blessed with another fight billed as a World title on the 18-5-2012, who gets a quid for sanctioning these fights?thank christ there is a promotion on the night before, Amman and Cronjie with a good support bill,i remember the night the Welterweight title of Mangrove Mountain was fought for down the coast, that was a regional title, all the best
