More info for Johnny Bizzarro, Jr.
I can tell you that without a doubt, Johnny Bizzarro, Jr fought on 3 different shows that I attended. The first bout I saw him in was on September 1, 1984 when Johnny TKO'd Don Thacker on the undercard of my good friend Harry Arroyo's bout with Charlie "White Lightning" Brown. Johnny Jr also fought on a card that I fought on at the VIP in Niles, Ohio when he defeated Bobby Jones on March 30, 1987. During the first fight I mentioned here, I didn't know Johnny personally yet but he and I spoke about that fight and my former trainer Tony Maiorana was the referee that called halt to the bout. In the second bout mentioned, Johnny and I trained together for that bout, sparred together and lived in a training camp together. The final bout of Johnny Jr's career was on November 11, 1987 when he lost to Raul Torres in Erie. Johnny Jr outboxed Torres in every round and when it went to a decision, no one could believe that Torres was awarded the victory. Disgusted and fed up with the fight game, Johnny Jr retired. His final record was (I think) 15 -3 - 2.
