Paulus Moses 7/2 to beat Burns - Overpriced?

Firstly I'm a massive Burns fan and want him to do as well as anyone else does but I think that the bookies are underestimating Moses pricing Ricky as a 1/5 favorite.

Could see a few punters taking the 7/2 on offer for Moses to win

much closer then the bookies have got it suprised by how well burns has done in the last 2 years but this is a tough fight for burns, moses is a former world champion with a decent record but if hes gona prove himself again and set up a mega british clash with mitchell hes got to win close desiscion for burns.

very funny post, which made me laugh, despite burns' impressive recent run.

on the plus side, 2 or 3 years back, who'd have thought that burns would have been fighting the likes of katsidis, gonzalez and moses? and obviously we've seen british fighters shafted in away fights, or at least losing controversially of recent, notably khan-peterson, chisora-helenius and both macklin and murray v sturm. so who knows what would have happened vs broner in the states. burns could have got walloped (though we don't really know how good broner is), and could also have got shafted by officials from a local commission. taking the title vacated by JM marquez was a smart move, if a little too convenient.

does anyone know how much moses has left? when i saw him fight he seemed an octopus type, capable of movement and high punch volume throughout, even if the quality of punching wasn't always so solid. i think burns v an on form moses could be an exciting punch fest, with lots of shots thrown, kind of like the oscar larios WBC 122-pound fights of a few years back, where the fighters would wang their shots away, not always landing solidly, but producing excellent value for money.

i hope moses isn't shot/injured, ready to fold in dismal fashion ala nicky cook, a terrible world title contest.

burns seems very solid and rounded in that awkward way he has, and appears very sturdy, able to tuck up under fire before roaring back with some real, championship calibre combinations.

I'm tipping Burns to stop him. His punches seemed to have a lot more on them against Katsidis and his frame looks huge at the weight.

Good fight none the less, and it is a brave move on the bookies part making him such a heavy favourite.

i thought Martinez would KO him, and i didnt give him a chance in hell vs Kat. I thought moving up a division and goign straight in with one of the hardest hitters would be too much - but he really showed his talent that night. Well worth his title.

i dont think we'll ever see someone contend for a world title in that state again. (Actually mormeck is a bit of a joke). But Burns vs Cook is one of the funniest things i ever seen in a boxing ring, Cook like a fuckin geriatric in there hunched over holding hi back

i shouldnt laugh though, looked like a hellish injury - was there any word on Cook after that? He's surely retired from fighting but hopefully nothing too serious beyond that.

i knew he could beat katsidis, after what he did vs gonzalez and factoring in the experience he'd gained (some of it surely painful!) and the strength he could potentially add, going up in weight.

I don't think anyone in the burns camp can credibly argue he didn't sidestep broner. If it had been someone less dangerous I'm sure the weight would have seemed possible.

Id love to see burns in with Rios, I reckon burns will take him apart.
