Just to play Devils advocate here, but after all the wailing and gnashing of teeth and public umbrage are over, and reading some of the comments of umbrage and disgust on here about Haye and Chisoras conduct it is to the credit of us as discerning boxing fans that at a time of national calamity – our economy in ruins, half the population in negative equity and the other half on Facebook,our youth rioting and lying drunk in the gutters, and our elderly lookig for a salubrious gutter in which to reside, it is to the credit of our spirit as boxing fans that at such a time so many on here can find the energy to complain “ban them for life"!!

Now ive been the first to complain Chisora is a very dirty and disturbed young man. After my intial anger at his besmirching the union Jack with his antics. Ive come to accept a short ban (6 months) and large fine (perhaps 75K are a suitable punishment for him for his behaviour.

People have long said the Heavyweight division is boring but you cant really blame either Klictchko. Sure they were intially a little boring, but the last 5 years or so they have systematically cleaned out the division. Both look the part, Wladimir has developed a very entertaining "Arnold of the late 80s" type persona with his laidback trash talking, Vitali looks like a throwback to those iron bodied white men who won the HW title in the 1910's.

Both have remarkable records.....its just not their fault they have had fat out of shape and old Americans to beat on

As for Haye I think he redeemed himself. He did to Chisora exactly what i expected the HW champ of the world should do when confronted with aggression in a lawless environment....he absolutely smashed Chisoras face in....and no women and children were hurt in the process.... a riot was averted....poor Wladimir had to show more restraint as the names of sponsors were emblazoned on the ring, a fight that had cost millions to put together was about to happen, adverts were to be played between rounds, he couldnt throw all that away by slapping the spitting Chisora......Haye however had greater impunity.

In a nutshell just when we thought there was no one else for the BROTHERS to fight they now have two competitive and interesting foes.... and there is an exciting fight for Haye out there apart from with them.....with Chisora.

Anyone else concur..the HW division might just have been saved (again) ...if only for the very short term.....????

I dont think either Haye or Chisora should be rewarded with big money fights for their actions. It would be exciting to see them involved no doubt but their a pair of twats.

one other thing about the Klitchkos that I like is, they both fight often and between the others fights, so that way between them we get to see a big production HW title defence every other month in Germany!

Totally disagree, the two made absolute tools of themselves. As for Haye, he was never the real heavyweight champion, and it's a shame he was incapable of producing such explosive work inside the ropes against wlad.

The only fight that is interesting in this mess is Haye vs Chisora - but neither Brit vs Ukrainian combination is interesting. Chisora cannot punch (thereby losing the main flaw in Wlad's armour) and Haye will not be able to KO Vitali and will run out of steam.

Once again Haye seems to be conning his way into a big money fight by what he does outside the ropes rather than actually inside it ... modern heavyweight boxing at its best :(


The K-brothers will soon be gone. Vitali has probably had his last fight. So the titles will soon enough be fragmented.
I just hope that Haye is kept on the outside. His bubble has burst. He clearly is far from being the saviour of the heavyweight division he and his followers previously claimed.

heavyweight is in a bleak state it will be even poorer when the klitshcko's go everyone will be beating everyone which mite make it exciting to watch but wont be anything like heavyweights of the 70's or 90's

It should bring bigger audiences too, it can only be good

The fact that he lost to Tyson Fury, lost a debatable fight with an over-hyped Helenius who's got a padded record or survived for 12 rounds against a clearly declining 40 year old Vitali Klitschko ? Chisora doesn't have the power to be exciting, he never looked close to winning against Vitali, so i don't see why you think he is exciting ? Tyson Fury is exciting because he can punch a bit and also end up on the canvas aswell, so it's a rollercoaster ride, but Chisora has essentially lifted his profile by having three consecative defeats.

Well, i think you are pretty stupid to suggest that that Fury is utter garbage when Fury has beaten Chisora. If Fury was as bad as you make out, then even an unfit de-motivated Chisora should have beaten Fury, but he didn't. The simple fact is that both Fury and Chisora are roughly on the same level, the only difference being Chisora's performance against Helenius, a guy who i keep repeating is over-rated and has had a very padded record to date. The vitali performance was nothing to base Chisora's quality on, because he essentially got beaten by an eight round margin, an effective landslide, in a fight he never once looked like winning, against a fighter who has declined an awful lot and is 40 years of age. A re-match fight with Fury would be closer than you think. Chisora hasn't got the power to hammer any heavyweight.

Two of these have fought each other...... neither fight were particularly competitive or exciting and Chisora faced the worst possible version of Vitali we will ever see.
