Ive been thinking about this too, for weeks now, lets face it Hatton is the best thing to happen to British Boxing in donkeys years.

Warren pays his boys well, and with Rickys style there are not many years left.

He has won "the" title, so I reckon money will be the motivator.

Making shitloads of cash is fine but sooner or later though you want to test yourself against the best, retiring with millions in the bank but with a pitiful legacy can't be very satisfying can it? Or am i an old romantic

Too right, money is one thing but Hatton already has plenty of it. And he has to look at the bigger picture, Allegedly cannot deliver the big fights consistently. The top US fighters are not going to be willing to fight in Manchester, Hatton will have to travel then SN loses all promotional clout anyway unless they plan to stage US shows (which they tried and failed miserably in the past) and Hatton then fights on his opponents promoters bills. He'd be better as the house fighter in the US.

What Hatton earns is irrelevant to me. Mr Warren defending himself by bringing up the money card doesnt stand anywhere. Obviously i want to see Hatton do well money wise, but at the end of the day im a FAN, i want to be considered. I want to be able to say i seen Ricky take on the best. I want to see him made into a legend. I dont want to be watching him fighting an opponent who was picked from a money perspective, who isnt going to give him a competitive fight or increase his standing in the history of boxing.

sadly it kind of sums up how poor british boxing has been in this decade. :( allegedly did milk hatton's career for far too long.

hatton was good enuff to mix with the best back in 2001, 2002.

it would be great to c hatton box live on itv, so that is why i'm split on whether leaving frank would be a good idea or not.

I hardly think money is going to be an issue here. Not with Ray Hatton saying : "I told Frank that we would love to finish Ricky's career with him if there was a level playing field, but I was also open with him and asked him if he could get close to the figures that others had offered."

So what exactly is Frank offering that makes it worth Ricky's while?

Up until now Ricky has been a big fish in a small pond and bloody well paid one at that. Apart from the Zoo fight he has earned handsomely from low risk fights.

How many of the other promoters you mention could have paid their stars as well as Ricky has been paid up to and including a world title shot?

How much did all the other stars on your list get paid for their initial shot at the genuine world champ in their division. Not as much as Hatton did against Zoo. (Except DLH, maybe).

If Ricky moves to Arum et al, he will find much stiffer opposition for the big purses.

If I were him, I'd stay with Frank.

personally i hope ricky doesn't sign with allegedly,i feel that allegedly over compilcates contracts and big fights seem to fall short of happening after talks...looks at the calzaghe v mundine fight that never was...it's been said that there was a clause in the contract that allegedly would promote mundines next 4 fight if he won....sorry but the only clause should have been a rematch...if you aren't confident in the boxer you promote don't make the fight......
