Well that was pretty pointless. Could you imagine Hopkins, Dawson, Pascal or Froch been taken the full twelve by a professional sparring partner?

I don't think Nathan did himself any favours there apart from looking like a soft touch for one of the bigger names.

Unimpressive showing from Clev.

Couldn't even buzz Karpency.

Nathan saying Karpency hits harder than other light heavys he's fought...I'd be interested to know what Bomber thinks to that comment!

Clev has always been an arm puncher.
I've only seen his last four or five fights. I knew he was't a big puncher but against Murat and Bellew it looked like he was capable of putting a bit more on his shots when the opportunity was there. Tonight he looked very one paced.

He gets too close so he is never gonna be a one hit finisher with all the arm punches he throws. Karpency reminded me of that punchbag they used to show in the allegedly adverts.

all the top lhw would have beat clev on that performance , but sometimes you can only beat whats in front of you , if i was cleverly id have said the truth , that yes he won easy but he wasnt great , not try to sell karpency as some big hitting tough guy

Not buying the whole thing about needing fear to fight well. Any really world class fight is capable of demolishing a routine defence when necessary.

It really says this is such a shit fight even cleverly would rather have been watching something else.

Very pedestrian performance indeed.

Some fighters need good opponents to bring out their best. Bad opponents bring out their worst as evident tonight.

Did you not think he could have stopped him? He didn't look like he was trying too to me.
Maybe, but then a lot of his recent stoppage wins have been the result of the ref waving the fight off. I just wonder if he wasn't capable of breaking someone down who was in survival mode.

Don't want to be too harsh, I'll just say I'm still not sold on him yet.

Karpency isn't even a full time boxer. He has a job so balances boxing with his spare time. To call that fight a World Title fight is ridiculous!

What a load of crap that was, Clev has no punch on him, so we get these predictable long drawn out one sided thrashings. They need to step him up, he's obviously up for it, and the Welsh fans deserve better than these glorified spars.

Billy - don't underestimate Dickinson, he's a very good fighter.

All the best for your man - him, Askin, Dickinson and Danny Price - there's some great fights right there
