The semis start today-not sure about the heavyweights but in the other nine weights five cubans,four Britons and four russians are through.Luke Campbell,Andrew Selby,Ian Weaver and Fred Evans represent Britain.Campbell will get a crack at World champion Lazaro Alvarez whilst the other three would be favoured to reach the final.Big surprise is the elimination of two cubans at light-welter Rosniel Iglesias and Yasnier Toledo to young russian Avaz Uzlyan who was a brilliant junior and may now be stepping up to Senior world class.Other cubans in the semis are Yosvani Veitia,Julio Cesar da Cruz,Erislandi Savon,Robeisis Ramirez
Emilio Correa lost to Turk Adem Kilici and Arinoides Despaigne lost to Fred Evans

Four British and five cubans have made the finals.Luke Campbell lost to Alvarez.Evans,Weaver,Selby and Nicola Adams all progress.Cuban Robeisis Ramirez was stopped by Bulgarian Stefan Ivanov and world champion Gulsum Tatar dropping to lightweight is also a finalist.
