I really hope it is Bute.

Carl has put so much on the line over the past few years. There’s only so long you can keep returning to the well. My fear is that Carl walks into a fight like Hatton-Pac or Honeyghan-Breland. I don’t think he’s at that stage but it can happen overnight to aggressive fighters. I hope Carl fights and beats Bute (he’s capable of it). Does the rematch thing they’ve talked about. Then fights say Cleverly or Hopkins and walks away. He’s been a class act.

Bute ain't coming over here though, not on my nelly he isn't. and he'd be way too slick for Froch, too.

They must of offered him a fair bit of bread to defend in Nottingham fair play to him. Hope it comes off be a massive event over here if it does.

Your boxing media is about as reliable as a one legged rocking horse. We will wait until it is confirmed over here before believing it.

If the fight was Bute I would have expected the City Ground to be the venue. I'm expecting Andrade, Mendy or Bika to be honest.

Jean Bedard who is Bute s promoter write on twitter for Lucian : prepare tes baggages/ get your luggage ready!!
Bute won t travel unless it s to fight Ward, Kessler or Froch. Ward has declined the fight, Kessler is schedule to fight Stieglitz so that leaves Froch.

Really hope Bute comes to UK for the fight.

I would pick him to outpoint Froch though. Maybe there was less at stake but if you compare the way that they both dealt with Glenn Johnson, I`d say Bute is on another level technically.

Froch is a hard man, but we saw against Ward that skills pay bills.

Id be quite happy if it was someone like Bika , would still make a good fight , although if its Bute then i think people will be absolutely rushing for tickets .

Without doubt he is on a different level in terms of speed and skills. However will Bute do to Froch what Ward did or will he end up like Jermaine Taylor, and get hit with too many shots, or not end up with enough of a lead in the championship rounds where Froch always seems to perform well. I'll probably go along to this if it does end up in Nottingham.

Don't think boxing news would've gone for today's cover story if it wasn't pretty much a done deal. Fair play to Bute for coming over here and i'm sure it will be a sell out.

Nice one. Bute's people must really fancy this one to come to Froch's back yard.

Eddie Hearn just tweeted to confirm it. Will definitely be going to this one. Will be arguably the biggest fight on British shores since Benn v Eubank in terms of worldwide significance.
