more like smart guy. he said that shit cause he knew his fights alone weren't getting him the exposure he needed (which is a shame) so he wanted to stir havoc and cause controversy. i highly highly doubt he genuinely means this, he just says that shit to ruffle feathers and keep himself relevant in discussions with ATG HWs. i doubt many people from my generation know who larry holmes is (didn't lil wayne name drop him in that one song with drake? He was smart in the ring, and savvy with business - but he isnt joking with his simply unreal delusions about himself and Foreman (whom hes always hated).

Watch footage of him and hes very sincere with those quotes. He very earnestly argues that Foreman deserves no credit for either Frazier I or Moorer. He says he made Ali washed-up. He claims he wasnt ready for Tyson when that particular shoe is on the other foot. Tells them what an ordinary fighter Holyfield was.

Its all very sincere. He even cites stopping Zanon and Occasio as one of many reasons hes better than Ali, because they went the distance with him and not Holmes

It just goes on and on with him, and has for many years now.

.....hate is too strong a word for me....but i feel close to it in agreeing with box buzz...

..during the fights themselves i came close to hating marciano, especially the way he fouled his opponents and butted and hit while they were down...but after the fight i just let it go as i realized these tactics were the major part of his "talent" and he needed them to win.
