Ronnie"The Shark" Clark v Maxi Hughes 2/3/2012
Both undefeated fighter fought last night at the Doncaster Dome. What a fight it was Ronnie took the fight on 2 days notice and went down and took the fight to Maxi from the first bell. Both fighters came forward for the full fight and were both a credit to the sport showing that they wont duck anyone. At the end of 4 rounds the ref lifted both hands and both fighters keep their unbeaten records. I felt that Ronnie had won every round but was very impressed with Maxi I hope these 2 get it on again maybe up here in Scotland.

billy you cant win a 4 rounder if u get wobbled and get some serious pagger in rds 2 and 3 ...the best u can get s a draw ....39-38 hughes much as the scribes had it.....over 8 or 10 hughes stoppage 6 rds....unless we did it in scotland and would be classed as a foul thus getting the sasanac disqualified....
Re: Ronnie"The Shark" Clark v Maxi Hughes 2/3/2012
Haha Ronnie wobbled??? Fight were you watching? He never wobbled Ronnie once? He hit with a flurry beginning of 3rd round then Hughes got hit all over the ring then in the 4th Hughes was badly hurt. Another round and he would have been stopped I had it 3 rounds to 1 being kind. It tells a story a home fighter getting a draw in his hometown. Trust me Hughes will get stopped in the rematch

Tyrone how things mate,Ronnie was never wobbled at anytime in the fight,i thought the first was even,we defo won the second, maxi won the third and we easily won the last, im not great at maths but that would make us the winner in any other country than England lol.We will defo do it again but over 8 or 10 next time,Would Team Hughes come to Scotland for a return? Me not think so! ha ha ha haNight-Nurse wrote:billy you cant win a 4 rounder if u get wobbled and get some serious pagger in rds 2 and 3 ...the best u can get s a draw ....39-38 hughes much as the scribes had it.....over 8 or 10 hughes stoppage 6 rds....unless we did it in scotland and would be classed as a foul thus getting the sasanac disqualified....

Hey Billy Hows tricks. Welcome to what we have to put up with Kenny Pringle every time we venture north
Re: Ronnie"The Shark" Clark v Maxi Hughes 2/3/2012
I believe both fighters done well but i think even if it went one more round Ronnie would have stopped maxi. Some serious pagger? :S dont know if you were at fight but i was and i didnt see that . Maxi won the 3rd but that was it. Ronnie dictated the tempo with maxi being restricted to about one flurry per round. That doesnt win you a fight:)

Very upset at your beliefs Mr Nurse lol... Me getting paggered??? Be real and think it through before you talk lol, were you watching the same fight??? I thinks you may be a little biased?!? Let the young man do the talking in a rematch up in Scotland ;) Will this happen :P
P.S The only way i will be getting stopped is if Hughes brings a hammer, and me thinks that ain't in the queensberry rules ;)

strange this talk that ronnie won,it was a grt fight no doubt.i was also at the sheffield show the next night where press and people involved in boxing all said grt fight maxi had it 3 to 1 and gosh he had him hurt in the 2nd.even boxing fans who i agree sometimes get it wrong were saying the same.it always end this way you say this we say that thats the fun,but when it comes down to it some people know they are pressing the wrong letters on the keyboard.well done to both lads great fight.stuff like this never gets sorted on places like this.
Re: Ronnie"The Shark" Clark v Maxi Hughes 2/3/2012
same old same old.We won we wasnt hurt.Great fight from both brave boxers.Maxi won 3 to 1 in my eyes but until a night at the sheffield show the very next day at which point i realized i was right .Boxers, press and other people involved kept saying 3 1 to maxi and gosh he had him hurt in the 2nd.Its easy to say thing through keyboards because you can tell ya fingers to press anything you like then read it through n it snds grt.Truth is it was a great fight and it will happen again in the future.Lots of people who saw the fight have it Maxi,s way credit to any fans that came to watch from scotland got a feeling it wasnt many so may be ronnies team saying this but al tell you his team are not daft . they will not really be saying it in the gym.
Re: Ronnie"The Shark" Clark v Maxi Hughes 2/3/2012
posted 2 replies as didnt think 1st had gone.best of luck to ronnie in the future, guaranteed in the future he will box maxi again and their o,s will still be in place as hes a very good boxer .
Re: Ronnie"The Shark" Clark v Maxi Hughes 2/3/2012
I was down at the show and if he lost i would be honest. Maxi threw one flurry a round that doesnt win fights. Maxi has never stopped anyone in five fights and Ronnie has never been put down in his life. you do the maths? Ronnie took the fight at two days notice and it was noticible his timing was off. believe what you want but he still won the fight and with preperation i guarentee he would stop maxi no questions asked:)
Re: Ronnie"The Shark" Clark v Maxi Hughes 2/3/2012
Lol. Regarding records . Take another look at who ronnie has stopped n their records . N who maxi has boxed n their records says alot . maxi came in 3lb lighter than he boxes at n had ronnie bothered at points. only the future will tell .
Re: Ronnie"The Shark" Clark v Maxi Hughes 2/3/2012
Ok then he had Ronnie rocked ha, You guys were robbed in the boys own hometown. Ronnie is a super featherweight so dont play the weight card. Ronnie came up at 2 days notice. Time will tell:) Maxi a nice lad but a bit of honesty is always nice:)

Re: Ronnie"The Shark" Clark v Maxi Hughes 2/3/2012
I was the promoter for this show dvds now on sale £100 lol
Iv not watched the fight in full but it is always hard to score a 4 round fight, main thing is both these boys didnt lose there 0s
they fought there hearts out and will learn more from that fight than all there previous fights put together they should be very proud
of themself.
Since last Friday iv had a number of calls saying what a cracking show it was and these 2 boys fought the fight of the night... iv got 4 more dates booked before the end of the year and if both boys can stay active id be more than happy to do a masters fight
well done boys on a cracking fight

Obviously you guys will say your boy won and we will say Ronnie won thats one of those things. I dont believe under any circumstance did Maxi win this fight(Although I was very impressed by him and someone I hope to see fight again). The best he could of hoped for was a draw which he got fair play he was a very game fighter. I agree very hard to to score a 4 round fight. As Maxi was at home with a excellent support I think a draw was fair as both keep there 0's which is good for both. I hope to see this fight again in the future but are these guys really gonna be near each other in weight looks like Maxi gonna be a light welter/welter and Ronnie at Super featherweight. I scored fight 40-37 to Ronnie, dont think Maxi actually won a round 1st was a draw at best for maxi, 2nd Ronnie, 3rd Ronnie although a 30 sec flurry at start of 3rd which may have impressed the ref and 4th no doubt was no doubt Ronnies. I cant really see any argument the other way apart from the fact Maxi was at home and got to keep his 0 which i think is fair enough
.
p.s Since us Dundee boys travelled 6 hours do we get a free dvd haha
