Live, now (9am, Wednesday!) on Premier Sports

Post by dondada »

IBF middleweight title, Daniel Geale v Osumanu Adama

Aussie commentators are class. One just said of a (correct) stoppage to save a chap from further punishment, despite the boxer's protestations, "In the future you don't want to be drawing ducks on the wall and trying to feed them."

It gets better...they thought they were off air and one just said of Geale's opponent "You could hit him with a baseball bat...he won't hurt this fella".

He has been down before, though not stopped.

I'm watching it in N.Z via a stream from russian television and it's fine. Prem sports must have lost there feed.

Ah, I'm not messing about with streams. Yes, Premier has lost its feed. They've put some NASCAR on now instead.

What a crock.

I must admit my lack of russian is spoiling viewing. But it's certainly better than nascar. I actually think WWF is better than Nascar.

Aye, it's back up. Looks like a good bill actually. Two IBF title fights on - Billy Dib is in the other one. And Kali Meehan for some other title.

Down again. 'We apologise for the loss of sound and picture. This is due to technical difficulties beyond our control," says Premier Sports.

Premier Sports has pulled the plug and are saying they are unable to bring the rest of this morning's coverage from Australia. Grrr.

I don't think it's their fault. Russians have also lost coverage.

I believe the international signal has been pulled to stop illegal foreign streams. International channels Premier Sports and Russian TV may have been on advertisement based deals, and if they weren't bringing in enough cash they will have pulled it. Most of Australia doesn't yet have the bandwidth to support streams, thus forcing Aussie's to buy PPV or not watch.

Poor show by the promoter stopping people internationally watching their broadcast, I can imagine no one will touch them again.

It's so easy to confuse Osumanu Adama with Osumanu Akaba, who fought Paul Truscott a few years back.
