Sam Webb: Excellent addtion to the paid ranks

Post by Ulysses »

Top London welter/light-middle Sam Webb has signed pro forms with the Maloney's.
An exciting, all-action ticket seller, Webb holds wins over current pro prospects Anthony Small, Nick Casal and James Moore amongst others.
He'll be fun to watch, as his style is suited more to the pro game than the amateurs. :TU:

Yeah Sam will be an excellent adition to the pro's. Known as the amateur Ricky Hatton. His fight with Daniel Herdman in the ABA's was one of the best amateur fights I've ever seen.
His style will certainly suit the pro's more and will definitely feature in some exciting fights. Surprised Sports Network never got hold of him.

Me too, but I guess they've so many fighters they couldn't guarantee him regular work. Plus they just signed Kell Brook.

Mate - use some full stops at least! This reads like a huge text message!

Anyway yeah Webb - good addition to the pros, he will sell loads of tickets and have exciting fights. British champion I reckon, maybe WBU  .

I will be watching out for you at the SE DIVS. Martin Welsh will also be a force to be reckoned with.

Yeh, he'll be a crowd pleaser, got a lot of heart.

There will still be some very interesting bouts at welter in this years abas without Webb in the mix so don't be too disappointed.
I expect to see: Coyle, Walsh, Herdman, Ekundayo, Selkirk, McNally (hear he's come down), Perkins (if not in another torney), Vassell, Flournoy, Callum Johnson (if only he'd return to welter).

Agreed, Islington's Jet Bakuku is also very dangerous... can't see Johnson coming close to making 69, he looks a full middle now – he's still only a youngster.
I see Flournoy is boxing Briggs again. Should be interesting.

I seem to remember you saying you could've beaten both Webb and Fitzroy Lodge's Welsh in last season's SE Divs.
Should be interesting to see how you get on with Welsh and also Dennington :TU: :box:

Didn't see Jet much at all after last years abas, heard a few rumours about him going pro, don't know if there was any truth to it. NW divs is only a few weeks away so all will be apparent soon enough and a bout with him and Ekundayo would be a cracker I reckon. I'm always excited about the welter divison, some terrific bouts to look forward to.
