HW SEASON WEEK 41 MATCHUPS - FINAL WEEK

So be told and button it.
Sincerely,

It's not attitude - the facts speaks for themselves... You entered it and now you're trying to pull out of it.jBacca wrote:It's won already, and attitude from you won't help things.
And with that I am reconsidering voting for you as a HOF candidate, if this stature has gone to your head already...jBacca wrote:HOF Manager

The attitude stems from you doing a Bob Arum on me. You are not my promoter, I can do what I want.Crease wrote:It's not attitude - the facts speaks for themselves... Reconsider all you want, I'm merely pointing out the difference in stature between us both.

Well then you're fucking things up for all of us.jBacca wrote:Don't 'actually' me, I can do what I want and that'll only make me want to fvck things up.
If you withdraw from The Super Six before it's finished by not fighting Holmes - it creates an imbalance in the entrie tournament.
It means it wasn't fair on the likes of Joe Louis or Peter Jackson (both of which have facted "The Big Three" - Dempsey, Marciano & Ali) whereas Holmes will get off with not fighting Dempsey.
The rotation was set that way for a reason, for the six to fight each other time and time and time again. It evens itself out in the end (like the Premiership).
Dempsey will be awarded the crown anyway - he's made it... But he could go a bit further and bask himself in untold glory if he wins the next 2 weeks.
Reconsider sir, what you are doing is unfair and unjust to your fellow Sixers.

If I fight Holmes, win, then beat Frazier in week 41. Anyone can hit me with the 'well you didn't win that fight in the proper 40 weeks'.
I'm not stupid, I know how this Sim works. You lot are like vultures.
Re: HW SEASON WEEK 40 MATCHUPS
Do you think so? I think that it is more likely that Managers will recognise just how great your Jack Dempsey was...jBacca wrote:If I fight Holmes, win, then beat Frazier in week 41. Anyone can hit me with the 'well you didn't win that fight in the proper 40 weeks'.
If you are worried about the credibility and status of Week 41, it will just be treated like every other week and it will be sanctioned as so by myself and BoxBuzz.
Even if you lost against Holmes this week (if that a concern of yours) you will still win The Super Six... And that will be enough for a HOF entry, don't you think?
This is a win-win situation for you. Go for it mate, don't hold back.

Re: HW SEASON WEEK 40 MATCHUPS
It's up to the manager/s how they manage their fighters. Commish will simply enforce the rules.
Popular perception counts for a lot. I was voted in HOF in an early season for my bellicose managing of an undefeated figher in an unfinished season. (Something I feel I did not deserve, but it does feel good riding an unpredictable streak by an underdog. The very first week out Collazo puts a whuppin on Mayweather that was to be the bellweather of a completely surrealistic run.) Maxie Rosenbloom and The Great Collapzo were my favorite seasons.
However in another season I managed Wills and Bowe to unified championship status....(the first to do so followed by geto the same season with Holyfield and some other chump I can't remember was it Frazier?) however Kevo ends up with the unified championship with Iron Mike in the last weeks, and grabs all the headlines, and an HOF nod.
So will a Jack Dempsey that walks away and drops his belts in the last week with a clean Super Six win be as likely to gain respect as a version of Jack who continues on and loses along the way toward the very final event? It's damn hard to predict.
Free will is the maker of amazing outcomes. We will not force any manager to fight a fight they feel their fighter is not ready for.
There will only be one inducted fighter to the HOF this season. If Jack's manager cowers, it could affect the voting, or perhaps his place is already cemented. Time will tell. People could well be drawn to a Zombie Joe who came from nowhere to finish the season on top.
There's always a potential "Cinderalla spoiler" if the favorite is not there to defend their reign.
For my vote, a Jack that goes down swinging to a latecomer, is more likely to get my attention as a voter than one who lays down in the final reel.

I'll fight Holmes. I've brought the credibility of next week's fights into the limelight and we've agreed to an extent that the week counts for something.
Slapsie was a fave season of yours? Didn't you duck pretty much every fighter? Ah I see, that spells success to you.

I'll be happy to appoint reasonable opposition if there are no live managers willing to engage.
Will attempt to run this this evening....IF crease will post the matches made, AND the "left undone" list.. Crease you are welcome to "fill the gaps" as well.
Re: HW SEASON WEEK 40 MATCHUPS
Not to be contrary here Buzz, but that post has some double standards in it, for example you have said:
For the record, as of the moment I would say that I'm voting two guys from this season into The Hall, but that's a conversation for later thread...
While just before that you said:BoxBuzz wrote:There will only be one inducted fighter to the HOF this season.
I wouldn't restrict the HOF entry to only one-per-season, that's a little unfair to boxers who have stood out.BoxBuzz wrote:Popular perception counts for a lot....

No problem sir. I'll try to accomdate the various Managers' call-outs while using the rankings to make fights well-matched.BoxBuzz wrote:Will attempt to run this this evening....IF crease will post the matches made, AND the "left undone" list.. Crease you are welcome to "fill the gaps" as well.
