Bob is known as a local journalist who likes to stoke it up from time to time, but really on this occasion he has made himself look foolish regarding the Management Contract.
I suspect similar to a few others, he has listened to rumour and innuendo and shot from the hip.
Only a week ago I got a phone call asking why Rhodes was in Tenerife on holiday if he was injured.
At the time he was sat on my settee !!!
In fact it was his brother that was in Tenerife.
That's how pathetic and ridiculous some rumour spreading pathetic individuals can be.
On this occasion if the "accurate suggestion" from flowery pussy - sorry Daisycat - is that he knew he was going to pull out can someone explain to me why for the last 12 or so days, frantic negotiations by the Rhodes camp have been going on to get the fight rescheduled thankfully ending up in success ?
That is not the action taken by anyone "not fancying" the job.
Let me assure you, there were numerous fighters waiting in the wings to replace him against Rabchenko.
I think the conspiracy theorists would be better placed looking at the "injuries" sustained by Fraudly and Barker - lets see if these fights get rescheduled.

to be fair audley and barker are always getting niggly little injuries frustating for the fans maybe but their not the ones getting in the ring are they? hope rhodes is back soon raring to go so he can get another world title shot soon. probably one of britains underrated fighters over the years imo.

Which of Daisy cats post are factually correct ?
He has insinuated that Rhodes was always going to
pull out . As have you though you back tracked
why would Ryan take the fight if he was'nt up for it ?
This is the same guy who fought Saul Alvarez last year
and then is accused of ducking an unknown European
doesnt make sense does it ?
All a bit boring now .
Daisy Cat suggested that Rhodes would pull out, he may have been off the mark as to the reason why he has, but.... Rhodes won't be fighting Rabchenko on March 24. He called it, whether by malicious luck or inside knowledge. The lads closest to Ryan on here say he's injured and that the fight will take place on a rearranged date, so I believe them. 26 has clarified that Ryan is now self-managed which leads me to wonder what tree journalist Bob Westerdale was barking up? It all seems a bit odd to me.
To your other point, I haven't backtracked on anything. I'm not questioning Rhodes' bottle because he's got plenty. Perhaps years of cynacism have made me question everything people tell me in Boxing. Ryan Rhodes is a great fighter, a lovely guy who I wish continued success to. However, that doesn't necessarily mean I believe everything he says, or anyone else for that matter. I guess it's a fact of life.

Years ago, I arranged to interview Ryan in the lead-up to his fight with Gary Lockett. When I rang him he didn't seem his usual relaxed self and asked if we could rearrange the interview as he was en route to the hospital to visit his Grandad who had been taken ill. After the Lockett fight, in which Ryan did very well in, it emerged that Rhodes' preparations were severely impacted by a back injury which forced him to seriously consider pulling out. I totally appreciate and agree with why Ryan wanted to keep this quiet but believe everything that people tell me in boxing? Sadly, not.
Twenty six has wrapped it up nicely so i wont go on but just to let you that IMO questioning the word of a man in a sentence renders all preceeding compliments backhanded . Daisy cat remains a numpty in my eyes be sure to tell him next time you shave :TU:

Don't really understand why my post has caused such upset. I only posted to say that i had heard Rhodes would pull out and he did. i'm not saying that rhodes is scared at all. it seems a bit of an over-reaction to me - fighters pull out all the time. Think certain posters should just chill out - you've told us the fight is rearranged. That being the case i have been proved wrong coz i heard the fight was off FULL STOP. Can't quite understand what all the anger is about.

TJ you have made a bizarre comment at Ben Carey asking him to look in the mirror and talk to me (Daisycat). If that is meant to be a suggestion that BEn and Daisy are one and the same then you are miles off - i am a no-one, just a normal little tabby cat with an owner who is a boxing fan with some friends around the manchester gyms.

Daisy,
I wouldn't worry about it pal.
The rumour mill has been in full pelt for weeks and I guess you just picked up more of the same.
I'm not going to repeat what's already been said, and as soon as the rescheduled date is agreed by the Promotor with the Broadcaster I'll post it.
Early June is the best bet.

Glass,
There are a couple of decent lads on the undercard who sell tickets like hot cakes - Etches and Jenkins.
Whilst we did shift a lot of tickets for the fight, the other lads were clamouring for them anyway.
It's still a decent bill - and will be a sell out.
Rabchenko is still on, but no info on who against.

Thanks for clearing up this nonsense. Just curious as to who the fighters are who are waiting in the wings to fight Rabchenko?

Thanks 26 but no way is next week a decent card going by boxrec schedule. (all undercard fighters haven't been matched with a
opponent)
