I can't decide whether the Meehan-Walker ref was so biased in favour of Kali that he wouldn't stop the fight unless he was absolutely forced to, or whether he hated Kali so much that he was willing to risk to his life.
Thoughts?
Maybe the most sickeningly late heavyweight stoppage since Mercer-Morrison.
Did the referee love or hate Kali?

Just watched it, it did seem a late stoppage, as the towel showed, but he wasn't out on his feet. He looked to the other side of the ring, gave a little smile. It terms of length of time I can see what you mean , in comparison to the ending of the 2 fights, one was ok the other no so good

As it was unfolding I was just imagining how, if Kali could weather the attack, Walker would be "saved" the very next instant he took a big punch.Roars Like Me wrote:Just watched it, it did seem a late stoppage, as the towel showed, but he wasn't out on his feet. Sounds a lot like Walker's last trip to Oz.Roars Like Me wrote:haha you may be onto soemthing there, can you imgaine if he landed an averagely big shot and the ref did call it off instantly, a few boos there methinksoliverfennell wrote:As it was unfolding I was just imagining how, if Kali could weather the attack, Walker would be "saved" the very next instant he took a big punch.Roars Like Me wrote:Just watched it, it did seem a late stoppage, as the towel showed, but he wasn't out on his feet.
