Any views on this one, realise there are some bigger fights at the weekend but this one interests me as well. Heard about Amar but not
seen anything if memory serves. Purdy is solid and comes forward with decent combinations, he is not the quickest but is developing some power or so it seems.
What does Amar have? Can he do what Watson tried to do and failed or does it look like a step too far.
Be interested to know any veiws/reasons.
AMAR/PURDY - SATURDAY
Re: AMAR/PURDY - SATURDAY
I actually think this is the most intriguing match on the card. That might, however, say more about me than the bout.
I only bet two or three times a year and make it worthwhile when I do. One of those was a lump on Purdy to beat Lynes. Talk about getting it wrong.
Amar is a very nice boxer and if he sticks to this he should win quite comfortably, I think. But he can be tagged and Purdy's strategy, one assumes, will be to pressure him and try and take him out.
However, I think Amar will win.

I think Amar *should* stand Purdy on his head, that is if the ringrust of not having fought in 15 years doesn't affect him adversely. or too adversely.
Re: AMAR/PURDY - SATURDAY
Definitely the pickem' fight of the card for me - pretty good card too.

if anyone notices a very vague resemblance between Amar and an asian Stallone, let me know. I'll tell my mate Kev he isn't blind after all.
Re: AMAR/PURDY - SATURDAY
Cracking fight and i think the Asian Stallone will finally deliver on all that promise and romp home!
