The 'other' Paul Thorne fought on against Duran with an horrendous gash to his mouth.

You can catch it on youtube, Frankie. Duran is fat as he ticks over prior to the Barkley fight but comes out fast and drops Thorne with a beautiful counter right, a punch which also rips open Thorne's cheek. Thorne bravely beats the count and gets on his bike and hangs in there for a few rounds until the doctor rightly stops it, due to the injury. To be honest it should have been stopped at the end of the first round, the injury is that bad. Thorne is now a Scandinavian rock star.

Bennie, Thorne wasn't much of a fighter, chin up in air, stood square on, but the kid had guts and was tough.
