Re: Cleverly opponent for Albert Hall annouced tomorrow.
I can see it being Fonfara, he was a possible opponent last time.
Re: Cleverly opponent for Albert Hall annouced tomorrow.
Looking at some of his youtube video he looks like a funny character

Its not these Gutknecht he defending EBU, Dawson fighting Hopkins,Dirks fight Ulrich, Bellew fighting Mcintosh. I doubt it be Braehmer.
Ovil Mckenzie maybe suddenly appear in next month ratings!

For the second Cleverly fight on the trot they be selling tickets before opponent annouced.Bennyblanco wrote:Whenever it is I'm sure it'll be an anti climaxleforge wrote:Apparently its now press conference to annouce fight for Albert Hall and ticket prices but not naming fighter to later in week!Jeff Thomas wrote:Someone whose never been stopped moving up from middle

4-5k. Not the right way to do business imo sell tickets when you have an opponent.Casio wrote:People obviously want to see him then, I'm sure the last fight was a 5k plus sell out?? not bad given the opponent. what does the Albert Hall hold?? anyone know??leforge wrote:For the second Cleverly fight on the trot they be selling tickets before opponent annouced.Bennyblanco wrote: Whenever it is I'm sure it'll be an anti climax
Re: Cleverly opponent for Albert Hall annouced tomorrow.
Those rankings are terrible. If you want to prove that you're a paper champion the WBO is the way to go at 175.leforge wrote:Cleverly fight annouced tomorrow who will it be?

Don't tempt fate....Whoever it is, it wont be No 6, No 7 or No 15. It will be someone **** and Cleverly will win by stoppage.Jeff Thomas wrote:Someone whose never been stopped moving up from middle
Re: Cleverly opponent for Albert Hall annouced tomorrow.
A die hard of 4,000 fans isn't going to grow into a nation of fans when he's just fighting turd after turd.Casio wrote:
His fans are paying to watch him though leforge, not the opponent! In an ideal world there would be an opponent named but its not to be, someone mentioned there would hopefully be a name by the end of the week.
Just like any other boxers though......Froch, Brook, Groves, Degale, Khan etc all have a die hard following and regardless of who is in the opposite corner, theyll be there to support their fighter.
And that 4k will dwindle fighting everywhere but his own country.
Especially when you watch a former undercard fighter of Cleverly's like Kell Brook blossom with the right promotion, and jam 10,000 people into Sheffield arena.
Paint it however which way you want Casio - the fact is Clev is fighting utter tripe in tiny venues in front of a handful of TV subscribers.
Re: Cleverly opponent for Albert Hall annouced tomorrow.
I've seen Pownceby fight, no way is he number 3 in the world. But he's 36 (allegedly) and unbeaten and except for a pro fight in French Polynesia (????) he hasn't boxed outside of N.Z (he did represent N.Z at the 2004 olympics though). He's had a crazy troubled life. - Sounds the perfect opponent for Nathan.
