Yeah the yanks are always quick to boo, British fans are more respectful to the fighters. The man on the street does not always know what titles are at stake but you don't always want the man on the street to go home saying "Did you see Ricky Hatton batter that human punchbag for 10 rounds, great wasn't it?"

I think it's only the kind of people who frequent forums like this who actually go to small hall shows.

Those who go to an "event" don't care so much who the opponent is, they just want to see a tear up.

I think US crowds are no more knowledgable than the small hall audiences over here. I think the higher quality shows are because the majority of the revenue comes from PPV sales which the boxing purists at home can't resist even at $50 or so a pop.

Well they do like a quick finish to fights so they can zip into the McD's drive thru on their way home. :o

FW says his job is to make fighters finacially secure, hes not a social service manager, he's a boxing promoter, what he's really saying is :-

"I want to make myself finacially secure, so I wont fight for a british, european, WBA,WBC,IBF titles I'll get them a WBU/WBO, where I hold sway and get them untold crap defences in front of thier home crowd, in which way I will make money"

In a roundabout way,thats what he's saying.

Can I just clarify,

What is the dispute about the contract based on?

Why can't they just get the contract, identify when Hatton is a free agent, and let it be so?

Is Hatton contracted to allegedly still, or not???

I know what you mean, but suspect Hagler may disagree

Mind you, it is interesting that he probably makes more money now from his After dinner appearances in the UK than in the US

Doodles tend to boo if nobody dies in the first five minutes whereas Britty audiences tend to boo anybody who can't trace his lineage back to Ugg of cave No.3 australopithecus mansions, the good German queens estate, Putney.
It just goes to show that incomprehensible stupidity knows no flag.

I'm struggling with all this shit.

Is Hatton tied to Warren or not, if so.. how?

There is no point pontificating about Warren's short falls, as it is clear that for Hatton's grown too big for Warren, and to define himself, he has to go stateside.

Warren is a dick, and he has a tight strangle-hold on boxing in this country. At last one of his stable has actually achieved what Warren has been telling the public for ages, and he wont let him go. His bluff is called, and his true aganda revealed..... Allegedly

Shit I'm in a bad mood now

What other fans other than the ones on these British shores boo as loud when the opponents national anthem is played, real respectful
