I think you have to look at the level of the people he's stopped. The Win over Williams was a shock, but Shane did well to finish him. I think it comes down to what happens when Enzo lands his first few big shots, how well Shane can take them?

It might be a fight like the Enzo v Alexander Kotlobay, when Enzo just came out and bombed the guy early on. Enzo has more 1 round KO's than Shane has fights!
If Shane can absorb the shots, then he may stand a chance from the middle rounds onwards. But i'm going to have to go with Enzo to end this one early. Inside of 4 rounds.

Am i the only person who thinks this is a complete mis match?

Shane has got balls and plenty of heart, but enzo picks his punches very well, and will outbox shane for the first 2 rounds, and finish him in the 3rd imo

No your not. There in different leagues. But Shane Mcphilbin has the title. I can't see it even going 3 to be honest.

If Enzo goes in there thinking he can just Unload and not worry about his defensive responsibilties then Shane Will Knock him out ,

Think of it this way , when Enzo is throwing those long Right Hands to the body hes so open to be caught flush with a left hook its unbeliveable , He got caught a few times in his last outing in that very fashion but his opponent didnt have the power to cause any problems , Shane has that Power .

Now dont confuse what im saying , im predicting an Enzo stoppage win .

But theres enough flaws in Enzo for Shane to pull it out the bag and strike Lucky with a big punch that would possibly end Enzo's Career .

This is something I put on a betting forum where people know far less than you guys. Anyway its my point of view if you wanted a bet on the fight.

This is a gimme for Maccarenellli to get himself back on the map. Its a fight he should win and look good in doing so. But BP at 1/16 and KO 1/6 hes at me to unbackable. He has always shown vunerability with the chin with all his 5 losses coming via KO as well as being down in several other winning fights. McPhilbin is crude but took the most of his opprtunity to win the title and is available at 10/1. McPhilbin cant(?) beat Enzo on points but he can maybe catch him with a clubber (the guy has fought at heavyweight and can club for a lump). Just for a tickle I think Enzos beard is worth taknig on for interest from a betting perspective....... Hurts to write this as Enzo is one of my fighters and I want him to win.

Stake strength 2/100 - McPhilbin bt Enzo KO/TKO/DQ 14/1 Skybet

That's a fair point. But in his last fight, he (shane) showed almost no technical ability. I'm not holding this against him, as he clearly has something, but i don't honestly think i have seen anything in him to suggest he has the speed of thought or fist to capitalise on enzo leaving himself open.

Well i suppose enzo is probably thinking its high reward vs low risk

Avidlemon , i agree shane didnt look the most technically gifted boxer vs Williams , nor did he in his previous fight against simeon cover which i went to .

But saying that he was aba semi finalist , Losing to Tyson Fury , You dont go that far in the ABA's without having something about them

Damian, I respect your knowledge but I can not honestly see Shane being able to take the body shots that are undoubtedly coming from Enzo, I can only see this going one way and that is a stoppage by Enzo.

McPhilbin been sparring 6'6 Karl Beard and has boxed Tyson Fury more than once in the amateurs.

Considering Enzo has been looking like an old shell, a 12.5 stone version of his former self and previously concussed several times in the last few years, who knows how he'll respond to being whacked.

This is the biggest fight of Shane's life, he's training 110% for it and it could be that Enzo doesn't think much of shane and that could be a mistake.

I'm biased because I'm familiar with Shane and share some friends, but that aside he genuinely does look good for a tenner on those odds.

Despite the KO defeats, I'd be very surprised if Enzo lost this.

I agree mate , i really do , but i know theres a chance , however slim it is .

Prior to Shanes Fight with Williams i didnt think shane could do 12 rounds and that he would struggle if he didnt get Williams out of there .

I was kind of part right :box:

Either way , im not Expecting Shane to win , but i sure as hell am hoping he can pull it off , only time ive not wanted enzo to win was vs haye , otherwise ive generally thought well of him , This time i hope hes underestimated Shane .

It might not be this fight but I believe Enzo is an accident waiting to happen.

I agree, Enzo is an accident waiting to happen these days. He should win this, but as Damian says above, the way he holds his chin in the air as he wings his shots, is just inviting another of those big left hook knockouts.

Can't see past Enzo. He's coming to the end of his career and has taken a few too many KO defeats but he gets the job done with six/seven rounds.
He'll just have too much experience and know how.

Enzo will have him out of there inside 4. Just can't see Shane taking those body shots of Enzo.

Enzo will be KO'd again but I don't think its this fight. However, there is always a chance when your in the ring with Enzo, his chin is there to be hit.

Fully expect Enzo to win this but I don't think it will help sell the Cleverly fight if he decides to box his way through this, perhaps stopping Shane after 5 or 6 jabbing, body shot rounds, perhaps its the right way but I don't think it''s what he needs at this time of his career.

He has world class power at Light-Heavy and Cruiser, I genuinely believe that and if he gets to Cleverly's chin, I don't believe he will be able to take the shots.

Yes Enzo can be fragile but lets be honest the shots that took him out would have floored a horse if memory serves, although I am willing to stand corrected on that.

A short sharp one or two round win and then call Cleverly out would be the way to go for me but of course with the WBO now getting tough perhaps that fight cannot be made anyway.
