Oh Jesus, fish puns. Kipper lid on it you two!
Come on guys. I know these fish puns are rather amusing, but considering what has happened with Scott Harrison I really think these jokes are out of plaice.

You need to remember that alcoholism is a disease, people in their right mind do not choose to throw their career, money and freedome away. It seems the majority of people on here either find his situation amusing or are wagging their fingers in disgust, i'm surprised theres not more understanding and sympathy for him. Making a comeback must be stressful enough after everything he went though without having promoters fighting over which one is going to take a chunk out of him, its hardly surprising really that he fell off the wagon..... I hope the alleged promoters are happy now its all been sorted out and they wont lose any precious cash...

Yes, we should all be more understanding generally.

But there are innocent victims of alcoholics' behaviour and Harrison has racked up a few.

He's obviously got his come back well planned.....get licence back, arrange fight date, get in to serious training, then pop out to Tescos, trash it, and piss up the window.

Thats all well and good but the guy has been inside for the last 3 or 4 years, presumably without drink. Plenty of time to get yourself sorted. First chance he gets he straight back on it. Although alcoholism is indeed classified as a disease, its also an illness that can be prevented by not being a weak, selfish twat.

he probably needs to get on his pike (and side carp) and ride off into the distance. boxing in cods name has no plaice for behaviour like this. he should ling-er in the sport no longer. for cod sake the BBB of C need to kick him in the pollocks. gurnard hopkins would be embarassed to be associated with the same sport. rud-dy hell its ridiculous. one minute he is world champ and on a perch, the next he is in trouble.

who wouldnt want a few beers after a few years dry inside the nick? most people go on benders when they are released, not straight into mother theresa's fold to "right their wrongs"

and alcoholism is not a "disease" that's a myth created by quacks who make money out of "curing it". since when can you choose to cure yourself of cancer?

harrison needs some more time to get his act together, give him six months to flush jail out of his system and he will be ready to fight again.

According to the radio this morning Scott Harrison was arrested after going on a "drunken rampage" in a Tesco store in Rutherglen.
They went on to say that Harrison and another man around the same age were opening bags and abusing staff. Not quite what i personally would have described as a drunken rampage.

Suppose the sad news here is that it seems likely that he is on the cheeky juice again afterall.
Scott Harrison needs to nicknamed "Yosser Hughes".

Maybe Scott was touched by Funso's fears over the proliferation of huge supermarkets and decided to dish out his own unique brand of affirmative action.

Absolutely, its a total double standard.

If Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall did something like this, it would be all over C4 and the Guardian and he'd be paraded through the streets as a hero.

Working class bloke tries the same trick and look at the reaction.

It sums up everything thats wrong about the UK
