ESPN (who have comminsioned a second series of the contendor) will be broadcasting a live show featuring the stars of the last show. The main event is the rematch to the contendor finale between Sergio Mora and Peter Manfredo Junior. Undercard fights will be Alfonso Gomez vs Jeff Fraza and Jesse Brinkly vs Anthony Bonsante - the number of rounds has yet to be announced.

As it is on ESPN, we might get the bill on here with Channel 5.

Other contender related news, Show producer Sylvester Stallone has confirmed that filming will commense on the 6th Rocky Film in December.

I didn't like the Contender much, a bit too staged. But i remember seeing Mora on a SKY undercard ages ago, he didn't look anything special. How far can he go?

Poor choice of fights in my opinion.

Alfonso gomez will destroy after a few rounds fraza - this will be the best fight

manfredo vs mora don't really interest me too much. I loved the contender but they could of made better fights.

ishe smith vs manfredo
gomez vs fraza
mora vs a top 10 middleweight

He fought on the Vargas/Vanderpool card if that's the Sky show you're thinking of.

Ishe Smith has been released from his contract with The Contender therefore will no longer be appearing in any events involved with The Contender.

A British one would be cool. Only problem with that is the producers. Usuaully when we try to make a dramatic documentary it misses the touch that burnett has.

Does anyone know if ESPN are showing the full fights this time?

I don't see why Bosante gets another fight, isn't 2 beatings enough? lol. I think he may win by decision this time if he don't get KO'ed.

I want them to do a British Contender, that would kick ass!!

There will never be a British version, where would they get the money from to do it? Sky would not put the money up for it I am sure of that.
