Can Cameron do what Tua couldnt??
30th may heavyweight explosion will take place in New Zealand with Cameron/Barrett headlining the event.
Will Barrett come to the fight in top shape?. Camerons always well conditioned but does he have the right game plan???? Both fighters can bang, should be a sweet fight..
WHO WINS?

Re: Can Cameron do what Tua couldnt??
Barrett via KO. Cameron does nothing better than Tua.
Barrett fought on the back foot cautiously with Tua, he(Barret) has nothing to worry about pressing against Cameron.

I thought this was going to be an eating poll, haha! 4 big macs in a row or something, Tua wins easy
DD
Erm no chance of him knocking Barrett out, so no

Apparantly this has been put back til the end of June.
Re: Can Cameron do what Tua couldnt??
Barrett has five KO losses on his record, including one against Cliff Couser, so he is hardly Mr Iron Jaw.Roars Like Me wrote:I thought this was going to be an eating poll, haha! 4 big macs in a row or something, Tua wins easyDD

Re: Can Cameron do what Tua couldnt??
On paper Barrett wins this hands down, However if a educated Cameron comes to the fight then i believe Cameron wins on the score cards.
Re: Can Cameron do what Tua couldnt??
Barrett is and has been shot for a long time. He schooled Tua because Tua tried to win without punching for the first 9 rounds. When he started to throw Barrett was in trouble. Shane will be conditioned to throw for 12 full rounds. Shane aint nothing special but come on, its Monty freakin Barrett we are talking bout! the man is done.
Re: Can Cameron do what Tua couldnt??
A number of questions on the table for me in this fight......
1. Does Barrett Show up in same shape he did to fight Tua?
2. How do Shanes troubled hands hold up?
3. Cuts, as we know shanes prone to them does he cut early?
4. How much in the tank does Shane have left? People talking Barrett being shot but lets not forget Shanes had some wars of his own not ot mention the heavy loss to David.
5. How motivated is Barrett to come and fight a guy Tua beat in 2 rounds? Does he hold enough respect for Shane to not take the fight lightly?
6. We all know Shane will come forward and look to throw plenty but how does Barrett approach the fight? Stick and move tua like or will he stand and trade like he has done in the past?
I personally think its a very interesting fight, because of all the above. Ig Shane stays in tact long enough as in his hands stay break free and he doesnt cut up or at least cut up to much he will provide Barrett with a handful, perhaps even stop him late if he can really get going and find some momentum. Also an in shape and motivated Barrett has the ability to even at his current age to outbox shane, he also has enough pop that if it turns into trench warfare he can hurt Shane whos tough but not bullet proof.
Good fight.
If Shane wins id like to see him fight Travis Walker whos comming off a big win over Kali Meehan. Or a De Mori fight anyone?

Re: Can Cameron do what Tua couldnt??
Barrett is erratic. His win over Tua last year was his first win since 2008. Did he get Tuaman at the end of his career?
I am not a gambler but if I was Barrett is not the sort of fighter I would bet on.

Re: Can Cameron do what Tua couldnt??
He does but in the same token Cameron is chinny and couldn't hold Tua's jockstrap and he didn't do it, so we're back to sqaure 1Brute wrote:Barrett has five KO losses on his record, including one against Cliff Couser, so he is hardly Mr Iron Jaw.Roars Like Me wrote:I thought this was going to be an eating poll, haha! 4 big macs in a row or something, Tua wins easyDD

Father Time beat Tua. Who else has Barrett beaten lately?

He could only manage a draw with Charles Davis and Davis has not won a fight since 2009.

I don't think Barrett is great by any stretch and yes his record isn't great these days - the real question is do you think Cameron is any good? I don't at all so a past it Barrett still beats him, the only Monty he beats was the previous 5-0 one
Re: Can Cameron do what Tua couldnt??
I don't think he's much chop at all, i haven't for years, he's had good wins over domestic and over the hill could have beens and thats it.Roars Like Me wrote: the real question is do you think Cameron is any good? I agree
Re: Can Cameron do what Tua couldnt??
He is Commonwealth champion and has beaten all the Australians he has fought, which is rare among heavier Kiwis. As for Barrett being over the hill Cameron can only fight the boxers put in front of him.

Re: Can Cameron do what Tua couldnt??
Of course but the point still remains that he is poor and won't beat him anyway, which says even less for Cameron
Re: Can Cameron do what Tua couldnt??
It may look like the Vea fight, Barrett at this stage still has enough to put Cameron away.
Re: Can Cameron do what Tua couldnt??
How can anyone say Cameron is "chinny"? His KO losses were against Tua (who knocked another 42 blokes out) and in the last round of a twelve rounder?
Was Joe Louis chinny?

Re: Can Cameron do what Tua couldnt??
Apart from youtube - where you obviously watched the Cameron-Tua fight. Have you ever seen Shane Cameron fight? Because you seem to know alot about him. 3 posts on the aussie board ever, and all your saying is that Cameron is sh1t. Get back to the o/t board coz you know f#ck all about boxing - especially this side of the world.Roars Like Me wrote:Of course but the point still remains that he is poor and won't beat him anyway, which says even less for Cameron

Yid14, only in that 1 fight yes but if you do know anything about boxing or nothing as you claim, you can see with your own eyes if someone is poor or not. The chinny was off so sorry for that. I've been on the Aussie board many more times than 3 but anyway. I can see you're from NZ and this is a NZ boxer so you're obviously offended by it all. Thanks for pointing outthat I know fornicate all about boxing because I think Camerson is shit. I don't happen to agree with you so I'll see you in the O/T board where you spend most of your timeyid14 wrote:Apart from youtube - where you obviously watched the Cameron-Tua fight. I could tell you was an expert. One fight......
I hope you saw more than just the first Oliver Macall or Hashim Rahman fights against Lennox Lewis or the Buster Douglas against Tyson. Ofcoarse I could go on and Cameron is not in there league but I hope you see my point. As for the O/S forum, the tide has turned the yids will finish 3rd. If it wasn't for Van Persie you'd be fighting it out with Liverpool for 10th
If ever there was a one man team.

What happened to Cameron fighting at cruiserweight?
If he beats Barrett, his folks should try to get Tarver back over to Australia for a defense.

Re: Can Cameron do what Tua couldnt??
I have seen plenty of fights thanks, in fact it started with Minter v Hagler at the time I recall and have been an avid fan since, anyway enough of the explanations and justifications. I think you should read my banter with yiddo as I have already mentioned exactly that. It has been a one man show this year I have to say but make sure our one doesn't beat your 11yid14 wrote:I could tell you was an expert. One fight......

Re: Can Cameron do what Tua couldnt??
Then I'm shocked that seeing one fight of Shane Cameron's, a brutal knockout defeat against probably one of the most devastating punchers in boxing history was enough for you to have such a strong opinion on him. Do you think Alan Minter was sh1t as well?
Re: Can Cameron do what Tua couldnt??
Was just watching Cameron sparring Vaitele Soi, Cameron looks good, he floored Soi twice.
