Any comments, criticisms or P4P lists are very welcome.
Re: British Top 30 P4P April 2012
Thanks for posting the list.
Why is Chisora on there? The guy has lost 3 of his last 4. Fair play he didn't get battered but he still got beat. Plus you have him higher than a guy that beat him. Also, Ajose Olusegum why is he only 27th or where ever it was. The guy is like 30-0, boxed every Final elimanator for world titles and he's way down the list? Not having a go, just a few strange ones in there

Re: British Top 30 P4P April 2012
I'd have Rees a bit higher up, Horse.
Re: British Top 30 P4P April 2012
One of those defeats was against Helenius who was ranked in the top 5 in the world and most thought Chisora deserved the win. Another of those defeats was to Vitali Klitschko who was the No. 2 in the world and he gave him his toughest fight since Lennox Lewis.xrgcx wrote:Thanks for posting the list.

Fury beat him, but Chisora did enough in his fights after that defeat to overtake Fury. If Fury beats Rogan later this month then he will move above Chisora again.
Olusegun hasn't fought in 6 months and before that his last decent win was against Lynes almost 2 years ago. He is too inactive, so he drops down the rankings.xrgcx wrote:Also, Ajose Olusegum why is he only 27th or where ever it was. When prince arron won his British title he flew into your top 30.. Brian Rose has comprehensively beat him and defended the title and still doesn't get in it?

Re: British Top 30 P4P April 2012
After you rated Hatton above Brook for months are you being harsh on Hatton dropping him so many places?

Re: British Top 30 P4P April 2012
Nice list again mate. I'd have Magee ahead of Cleverly, personally. Fought and beaten better fighters.
Re: British Top 30 P4P April 2012
I considered putting him above Barker, but I thought an 8 place move up the rankings was enough for his win against Mezaache.Dan Dares wrote:I'd have Rees a bit higher up, Horse.
Re: British Top 30 P4P April 2012
groves and rhodes pull out of fights and go up in the rankings...
Re: British Top 30 P4P April 2012
I didn't think Rose deserved to move above Crolla, Olusegun, DeGale or Murray.Adam1991 wrote:When prince arron won his British title he flew into your top 30.. Brian Rose has comprehensively beat him and defended the title and still doesn't get in it?
The bottom of the rankings were weaker when Arron entered. That is the way it works sometimes.
Re: British Top 30 P4P April 2012
Maybe I am, but he got dominated for the second time in the last year or so, and his only win in that time is against Abramenka.Pugilist-specialist wrote:After you rated Hatton above Brook for months are you being harsh on Hatton dropping him so many places?
It is a competetive top 30 and he still has Quigg, Buckland, Murray, DeGale, Olusegun and Crolla below him and guys like Bellew, Rose and Lynes who aren't even in the list. He needs to pick up a good win soon if he is to stay in the rankings.
Hatton is the mandatory challenger for the European title held by Leonard Bundu. If he can win that then he will be moving back up the rankings again.
Re: British Top 30 P4P April 2012
A few of Magee's recent good wins have been against fairly old and inactive guys like Larsen & Markussen. It is difficult to judge just how good these wins are.bengulnaci1 wrote:Nice list again mate. I'd have Magee ahead of Cleverly, personally. Fought and beaten better fighters.
Cleverly hasn't been taking on the best opposition recently and he hasn't been very impressive. I think it is quite close between the two of them at the moment and if Magee beats someone better than Krasniqi in his next fight then he has a good chance of overtaking Cleverly.
Re: British Top 30 P4P April 2012
Swop khan and froch and Mitchell and lee and it's pretty accurate IMO
Re: British Top 30 P4P April 2012
That is due to his fairly recent loss to Groves, the stuggle he had beating Wilczewski for the European title and his 5 months of inactivity. The Dark Destroyer wrote:Degale seems low considering he's European champion.
If he beats Sanavia this month then he will climb a few places.
Re: British Top 30 P4P April 2012
They only went up in the rankings because Matthew Hatton moved down the rankings.los2 wrote:groves and rhodes pull out of fights and go up in the rankings...
Re: British Top 30 P4P April 2012
I'm a fan of his, but should David Haye really be in the list? At least while he says he is retired I'd have thought he shouldn't be there. If/when he announces his next fight then maybe he can be put back in there?
Re: British Top 30 P4P April 2012
i know kerry hope had a good win the other week but dont think he deserves to dive straight in. other then that maybe magees abit high for my likeing pretty good list though buddy
Re: British Top 30 P4P April 2012
hatton should have pulled out of the fight then.....Horse wrote:They only went up in the rankings because Matthew Hatton moved down the rankings.los2 wrote:groves and rhodes pull out of fights and go up in the rankings...
Re: British Top 30 P4P April 2012
I think Froch still deserves to be the number 1 as he has a better record than Khan and he lost to a better fighter in his last fight than Khan did.jessi wrote:Swop khan and froch and Mitchell and lee and it's pretty accurate IMO
It is close between Mitchell and Lee, but I think Lee deserves to be higher due to his better level of activity recently.
Re: British Top 30 P4P April 2012
He has only been inactive about 9 months and he is trying to get a fight with Vitali, it is also possible a match with Chisora could be made instead.mfc_se15 wrote:I'm a fan of his, but should David Haye really be in the list? So he isn't really retired as far as I am concerned.
Re: British Top 30 P4P April 2012
He is now the European champion and he just beat a guy who was in the Ring's top 10. I think he has to be in the rankings somewhere.dan28uk wrote:i know kerry hope had a good win the other week but dont think he deserves to dive straight in.
I think I gave him the lowest rank for a new European champion so far, so I don't think I have been overgenerous to him by putting him where I did.
Magee has had a few decent wins recently, but quite a few below him in the rankings could easily overtake him after their next fights.dan28uk wrote:other then that maybe magees abit high for my likeing pretty good list though buddy

Re: British Top 30 P4P April 2012
Surely there is a case for Burns to be ahead of Khan in these ratings now. He's now a 2 weight world champ with victories over solid world level operators whereas Khan has a pretty much 50/50 rating against the same calibre of opponents (Malignaggi, Judah, Prescott & Peterson). If Khan wins next month though it's fair enough but if Burns beats Mitchell then its another toss of the coin
Re: British Top 30 P4P April 2012
He wouldn't have got paid though.los2 wrote:hatton should have pulled out of the fight then.....Horse wrote:They only went up in the rankings because Matthew Hatton moved down the rankings.
Re: British Top 30 P4P April 2012
Groves destroyed Smith and DeGale struggled against Wilczewski. The Dark Destroyer wrote:It's just having Groves so much higher when the win was razor thin and since Degale has fought the better fighter and won.
DeGale is low in the rankings for a European champion, but he will climb a few places and close the gap on Groves if he beats Sanavia this month.
