Roman pulls out of Thaxton clash

Post by kevin »

Eduardo Roman has pulled out of his clash at the eleventh hour after allegedly being attacked whilst out on a training run and injuring his hand in the process.

More details at http://www.britishboxing.net/?page=news&id=895

Seems Thaxton is having no luck with opponents this is the second opponent to pull out of the fight with an injury since the fight was announced.

I have taken the fight off of the predictions league

That's horrific. If that is the case. Roman would've been a decent opponent.

The suggested replacement, Dragomir, was KO'd by Jennings. He's been at welter/light welter for a while looks like.

I assume that Roman will send a medical cetificate over at some point. Yes if true it is bad.

Yes it's a shame it would have been a good fight.

Two opponents have pulled out with injury since the fight was announced, seems Thaxton is quickly joining the 'boxers to avoid' list

Dragomir has been fighting at higher weights it will be interesting to see what Dragomir brings to the table at lightweight.
