Is Choi vs Simpson happening?

Saw in daily record today, Alex Morrison quoting that Simpson is fighting Choi and if he doesnt win, he should retire.

Anyone know more about this?

Cant find the article online but Morrison said something along the lines of simpson being back in 5-6 weeks (training/tune-up i dont know) then fighting choi and that he was no longer going south to super-bantam.

Am not up North any more but my mate was saying Simpson is boxing at Gorbals Sports Centre in 5 weeks. Could be bollocks as we know rumours always spread. I would like to see John drop down to Super Bantem but wouldn't complain if him and Choi boxed

Was talk about it months ago but can't see it happening now unless Simpson can't make super bantam. Would be a cracking fight.

I can only see this going one way if it happens&thats with Choi who certainly isnt no world beater,but if Selby could stop him im sure Choi could,as Simpson is coming towards the end of his career.

Would have to agree with you Tommy. I think John is maybe coming towards the end of his good Career. People forget he's only 28, but he's said a few times now he was packing it in unless he wins and he always manages to pull a win out. Not technically great but good to watch and a credit to the sport. Hope he has a go at Super Bantem, would he make the weight but?

Simpson wont want to end his career on 2 defeats in a row and his first stoppage. The Choi fight was mentioned years ago. It's amazing that it might happen now that Chois 40 and Simpson lost 2 on the bounce.
