Well, Soto's manager had heard the Chi was going to announce his retirment following serious injury. However, fightnews are reporting that Chi will be fit by November and start negotiating a match with Soto soon.

Good news if Chi can come back.

I totally missed the reason behind his injury. He didn't get it during his last defence did he?

Can't wait for Soto vs Chi.. I read on another website that it was a bit strange how he was injured until Rocky lost the fight.. of course I wouldn't say that. I think that he was truly injured. Now it's going to be someone who sparred with Morales against someone who lost against Morales.. can't wait. It's going to be a very entertaining fight if it does happen. I don't know who'll win but i'm hoping Soto wins.

Glad to hear Chi is going to be fit to return, he is a welcome addition to the Featherweight mix IMO Both of his battles with Brodie are great fight particularly the first one. The guy is relentless, watched his fight with the Tommy Browne the other day and he never stops throwing shots, Browne showed tremendous bravery to take the shots and keep firing back, a typically tough Aussie.

i like chi as well.

not as much as my old man, poor old chi has been enquired into match ups from feather up to light middle by pops!

It drives me nuts he can never remember his weight class.

clasic line: I reckonthat korean would give hatton a right war.

errrr i doubt it dad he is just a tad smaller.

Chi appears to be making a return on 29th January, making a WBC defence against Japanese Takashi Koshimoto.

Meanwhile, Humberto Soto defends his WBC interim title on December 17th.

I love it when all this title nonsense is cleared up

But everyone who saw either Brodie fights remembers him, great to have him back, Guzman v Chi after Harrison is beaten?

Its good to see Chi back in the ring, his fight with Morales is a classic, everytime it looked like Morales was going to step up a gear and stop him, Chi just went with him and started throwing shots back. One tough man.

Its a shame we don't see more of the far east fighters over here, they have some good champions in the area of the world In Jin Chi (Kor), Masamori Tokuyama (Jap), Pongsaklek Wonjongkam (Thai), Chris John (Indon).

I've never seen a fighter as scary as Chi. He seems to taken shots and its as if he doesnt even notice them.

I still thought Brodie deserved the nod in the 1st fight.

Chi will beat Soto and destroy Juarez.

I thought Brodie almost had him a couple of times with body shots in the 1st fight, hitting Chi on the chin just seems to spark him into life, makes for great viewing ,but not good for his health.

I think he's similar to Harrison, in that both seem huge for a featherweight come fight time, they both must boil down to make the limit
