Hiya,
I'm gonna be out at a stag do on the 9th of Sept Obviously this causes difficulties for me in watching the Woods - Gonzalez fight.
Does anyone know if the pubs will show this? Or better yet if any pubs in Oxford will show this?
Thanks,
Malcolm
Pubs showing boxing?
That said, Stu, there aren't many in central Oxford that do do the footie and the centre is not big on boxing. Pubs / bars are either swanky / pretentious and no sport or too grim to have tellies.
There's a pretty ropey pub round the back of the covered market, I think called something like The Castle (this could be bollocks) that used to be an Aussie bar, that place would almost certainly be showing it. Utter dive, though. I'd still recommend giving The Wheatsheaf a shout.

It doesn't really. It starts just north of the station and keeps going north, out of town. Station is about ten minutes walk from centre. All depends where you stop off for the night, really.bugs wrote:Thanks, Ill try the Wheatsheaf. I am going to be on a barge on the canal and drinking along its length, so hopefully that goes through the center.
