Do people get banned for very little over there then?

I've been perma banned, and gone back on under a couple of different names but been found out. The reason i went back on is that the traffic seems to be higher on esb, therefore, replies are quicker. There are some excellent posters on there, but having spent more time browsing boxrec i have to say that almost everyone here is knowledgable, and not a troll in sight

Very rarely post there these days. Some very good posters on there and some very funny ones too. Some genuine mentalists though.

As for mods being trigger happy, no idea about that...there are threads up there on occasion - sometimes genuinely insightful ones too - which wouldn't last five minutes on here.

They are definitely trigger happy around illegal streams in their round by rounds.

I've been banned for 'hinting at illegal streams' a few times, I have a Sky Sports and allegedly subscription, and every time have been watching on TV.

I used to post at Doghouse Boxing but got banned because i was trying to get people to move to Boxrec

The traffic on the British section at doghouse was really poor and BigMark and myself started a mini campaign to try and give some ideas as how to improve things. We had run ins with the guy who ran the site and essentially we were saying what we felt was needed to improve things. He thought everything was great and that around the corner Doghouse was going to make some moves and then take on the universe and become the best boxing site around. I started to drift and came onto boxrec, got a good welcome, saw that the traffic was better and that most guys knew there stuff. I alerted my fellow posters at doghouse to these welcome attributes and got bannned 8)

I've been here ever since and won't leave either

Its good but they jump all over you if you give an opinion that isnt the status quo. The banning over there is a bit crazy, working my way through an 18thmonth ban and still dont know why i got it. If you want a good laugh the lounge is hilarious and the brit forum is good because alot of them seem to be in the know.

I have an account, I've never posted there though, I only opened it to have a read after reading about some of the threads over there in threads on here.

Same as me...I was interested in what went on over there and had a sneeky look. I don't go over there much at all these days though. I'd sooner stay in the bosom of the Boxrec family!

The only thing that ESB has over Boxrec is that it sends birthday greetings. It's always nice to know that someone is thinking of you on your birthday.

Hi Scott, any idea what's become of Pab and Teeto? I hear there both gonners as well. Got 2 years for saying that logic and the mods there don't go together, I think they gave me the 2 years in order to prove me right in the most vindictive way possible.

teeto got a 2 year ban when he asked for a 2 week one, pabby got banned in the porn thread, was using an alt but they cleared them out. Mine wasn't permanent, 2 weeks for telling Jenna her vert wouldn't put her as close to a dunk as she though. She's power hungry, unstable and an attention seeker, obviously has little going on in her life.

Quite a few of the better Brit Forum posters are no more, WalletInspector, Jpab and your very own Scottrf are serving some hefty bans, alongside some others who's names I don't remember off the top of my head. On the upside I've for some reason had my 2 year ban shortened to a month, only reason I can think of is I posted John Lennons faux apology from the "bigger than jesus" comment he made to Jenna via facebook.

I only did it because I could bare to watch my Nations Cup Team fall from grace, however it looks like that will be done for with half of the captains out. I notice Bajingo got out of his ban, don't know how he pulled that one off. My reason for being banned has recently been updated from "fornicate off" to "take some time off".

I was banned for writing for a rival site and presumably because I get on them when they allow cut and pastes of our articles to be put in the forum without a site or writer credit. They’re OK when I email them to ask them to take offending threads down, they never reply yet generally take the post down. Sometimes they don’t, but I don’t check often enough to verify.

There’s a hard core of top posters and a lot of crap. The threads tend to start off normal then descend into pages and pages of crap and in-jokes topped by ‘This thread started off normally, then it became about a load of other crap. He he, that’s ESB for you’ and this makes it virtually unreadable in the main. There’s also a tendency for one guy to have two or three active accounts so you can’t quite be sure if people are arguing amongst themselves.

I'd rather get Rab C. Nesbitt to piss in my ear than listen to their radio show.
