Dempsey recieved $5,000 to referee that fight plus $5,000 expenses. It was the most money ever paid to a referee at that point.

This question was posted on a Canadian website, the winners receiving the 2001 Canadian record book. They didn't have to send out very many.
Name the only two Canadian heavyweights to beat "EX" World Heavyweight Champions. They have to be Canadian residents.

Way to go Tomato, Ruddock is right. Who did he beat? The other is not Pelkey.

I'll bet they did'nt hand out many records books. Razor Ruddock beat Greg Page, Michael Dokes and Bonecrusher Smith.

THe tough one (for me) Shane Sutcliffe beat Leon Spinks. I had to look that one up!

Morrison blew out Spinks in one round. Him and Ruddock were my guesses. But Every one beat Leon. There is most likely a lot of canadian heavyweights to have beaten ex-champions. Especially with so many "champions" these days.

You got them Tomato, Sutcliffe was the tough one. When I asked how many winners they had I was told there were only two at the time. By the way I am enjoying my book!

Nope! 8)
Here's a bonus question: one of the boxers in this title bout was also in another title bout held in Seattle; and the referee for that one was another former heavyweight world champion. Which bout? Who was the ref?
