The Walsh Brothers
Unhappy by the sounds of it - speaking to boxing news they sound truly fed up with no fights lined up.

Re: The Walsh Brothers
The fight with Appleby on allegedly was a FOTY contender - it was fantastic domestic action through and through.
Like they say in the interview, they fight at low weight classes and inactivity is making it harder to cut the weight. Not having fights lined up must really zap your focus too.

Re: The Walsh Brothers
You would think they be putting on Walsh Brothers they pack out and venue and would be cheap. Its the big fights now seem to be harder to make would Groves gone abroad for the challenge in the past. I heard him talk about mega summer show!

They would fill a decent size venue in Norfolk, but we dont have anywhere here to put it on..leforge wrote:You would think they be putting on Walsh Brothers they pack out and venue and would be cheap. Yeah I remember reading an interview with Frank where he said he was looking in that area where he could put them but theres not much there.Tommy Gunn13 wrote: They would fill a decent size venue in Norfolk, but we dont have anywhere here to put it on..
Surely there has to be a venue nearby though which saves the fans going to London?

Re: The Walsh Brothers
The only place they could possibly use would be the showground in the summer, get Sexton&Mcintosh on there aswell,i reckon they could do 3/4 thousand tickets..elephant man wrote:Yeah I remember reading an interview with Frank where he said he was looking in that area where he could put them but theres not much there.Tommy Gunn13 wrote: They would fill a decent size venue in Norfolk, but we dont have anywhere here to put it on..

Re: The Walsh Brothers
I think someone put sumwhere that only certain bigger name fighters get a fights per year deal. They were trying to get on the BigBang bill but hearn said he would love to but due to his relationship with allegedly this werent gonna happen. I could see the Walsh brothers doing well with hennessy and his channel 5 deal, they would get big viewers if it was done right.

Re: The Walsh Brothers
Well yeah i cant see FW lending his fighters to a rival promoter like Matchroom, promoters should work together¬ against one another, but thats FW for you...smoggy7188 wrote:I think someone put sumwhere that only certain bigger name fighters get a fights per year deal. There all decent fighters who could get to fight for a lonsdale belt,im sure if they was with any other promoter they would be out every 3months as they do sell tickets..

They should leave allegedly or sign a joint promotional deal allowing to them fight on a smaller promoters show aswell.

Jazza Dickens is a perfect example. Fights on VIP and Hatton bills so he is fighting all the time. 7fights last year and after next week he will have had 3fights already this year.
