Corley lost to Ashley Theophane in 2008 and has lost plenty since.

I find his last result weird though...beating that undefeated kid out of the blue. Maybe he has something left in the tank?

Easy fight for McCloskey... Even if he loses he will get a hometown decision.

Corley has lost 8 of his last 10.

Good to see McCloskey aiming high.

I did - they didn't all seem like tomato cans (statistically, anyway). You're probably right, mind.

Terrible fight. Seems like Matchroom have been a bit mucked about by Diaz (can make weight, can't make weight!) so the timescale is limited to get someone decent. Dudey is getting on though and Corley is so far past it, it makes it a meaningless contest. I saw Chop Chop's win in January and, trust me, the boy he was in with looked hopeless, proper paper record (if he'd have been a light-heavy he'd have been Cleverly fare!)

Still if it sells out then why should Matchroom care? Di Bella is making noises of a possible Ajose/Dudey fight which would be a good European level fight (for a world title!) but it happen's all the time all over the world so fair play to them. Chop's a survivour though so I can see this being a snore fest, unless Dudey is not as good as I think he is (and I don't think he great by any means)

Hasn't DiBella been saying this could lead to a World Title fight with either Olusegun or Danny Garcia? I assume he promotes Chop Chop as well. Could be a decent move for McCloskey but I see him being outboxed by Garcia, and KO'd viciously by Ajose.

It was an 8 rounder stateside if my memory serves me correctly. But it is a good test for Paul McCloskey fighting an experienced former World title holder in DeMarcus Corley who has only been stopped once in his 19 losses, so he is tough and durable but I can still see McCloskey coming out victorious in this one.

As is said above - Theophane beat him in 2008 a full two years before he won the British title.

McCloskey is being promoted as a world-class Light-Welterweight just one fight from a world title shot.

Lets be honest Witter has better form over the last 4 years.

I thought McCloskey was cheated (not defeated) by the dodgy doctor's decision in the Khan fight.

He's cheating the fans by fighting a has been like Corley though.
