Also you gotta says well done Dennis Hobson if he's managed to pull off promoting Hatton for a 1 off deal.
Could be a good November for me cos i'm supposed to go the Vegas Mid November and then followed by a Hatton fight in my own back yard, quality
This situation is very messy, ITV must be absolutely gutted - the way they have hyped Hatton fights being on their station I wouldn't rule out some kind of deal being struck.
I think if this fight is on Sky, then it gives a clear indication what the word "exclusive" means (i.e. whether it is SN exclusive to ITV, or ITV can only show SN fights) - I do seriously doubt its the latter cause what about Froch and Witter?

I meant can't ITV get any no SN shows like they did with Witter and Froch.
Would be better if they had more than just SN shows like they used to before they stopped for 10 years and Witter and Froch wasn't that bad.
When Woods beat Hoyehe was saying we need more fights on the BBC but he could of tried ITV couldn't he?

When ITV signed up Allegedly on the deal i am pretty certain it was with Khan and Hatton in mind headlining there big shows. I doubt they would be too pleased shelling out to another promotional company (whoever that maybe) to secure Hatton, which means SKY will pick him up on PPV. Of course that's just my opinion, i don't really know how it all works.
As for the Maussa fight, i read Emmanuel Steward claiming Harris had first fight with Maussa due to a rematch clause, what happened to all that?

for real?
kinell. I just never took any notice after the way he jumped ship when big len retired, singed with the Klits then slagged off Lenn.
you don do that man, with someone you have been in business and friends with for ten years or more.
disgusting lack of integrity in my opinion, but then agian those who know me will know my views on loyalty, shit like that makes me spit.
god forbid a mate of mine ever did anything similar, id throttle the fornicator.

I always figured Harris would struggle with that rematch clause. It's not like he's a huge draw. However, the WBA will be happy with a Hatton fight: Hatton beats Maussa, becomes IBF/WBA champ, WBA make him 'Super Champion', WBA let Harris fight for 'regular' WBA title, WBA watch the sanction fees roll in........

Yes I thought that was absolutely unforgivable, basically calling Lewis a coward for not fighting Vitali, this after first saying Lewis should retire, then that he shoudl fight on, then jumping ship....terrible behaviourJ wrote:for real?

I wouldnt be surprised, I think he has spoken bollocks for most of his carrer.jamesmcdonnell wrote:I have been told by people who have had dealings with Manny, that he is just all about the money now, as he spends it like wildfire on a range of nefarious activities....
Lets face it most of those Kronk guys would have been champs with their grandmothers training them

I think back then Manny was a really great trainer, but those days are long long ago. He always has had excuses for why his fighters lost though, and has really always been a bit of a bullshit artist.
It's a little unfair to give him no credit for the Hearns era fighters, but I think he's been trading on past glories for a fornicating long time now. All he did with Hamed was collect the money, then slag Hamed off behind his back for not training hard enough to the cameras. His amazing technical know-how turned hamed from an unorthodox wrecking machine to a predictable one-dimensional power puncher.

on eastside there saying steward could be training ricky hatton.
no way will that happen.
maussa is a perfect 1st defence as its not the most demanding and there is another title belt to be had.
mayweather has the biggest ego out there, so dealing with him won't be easy. miguel cotto is not ready yet according to bob.

No chance he'll split with Graham.
I was thinking much the same about Steward ( did he really call Lewis a coward? I must've missed that...) he comes out with some weird stuff - talking about the Wlad/Peter fight, he says "I've always had great success with tall guys beating shorter guys" Obviously refering to Hearns/Duran ( how long ago?? ) but obviously forgeting the times old Tommy was laid flat out by shorter guys....
As for being a crack head?! No way...he wouldn't last 5 minutes with an intelligent guy like Wlad if he was. Hard not to miss if you're working with a crack head I'd say...
