Fight Academey if it is true have done a deal for Ricky to fight on the 26 Nov in Sheffield.
Question is will sky show it and will it be ppv.
With the IBF already in town surely they could get Carl thompson a title shot against Oneil Bell who recentley ko'd Rothman plus seeing that clinton defends on Sept 9th it is enough time for him to have a rest and defend again on the same show.
Just think 3 world title fights for the IBF title all including Brits.
A show which would mark Fight Academys arrival on the ppv scene and i am sure would have very good buys with a bill like that.
Rickys first defence in a unification.
Carls last big shot with the winner of Haye and hobson waiting in the wings to fight carl if he pulls it off.
Clinton marking time with a defence ready to fight winner of Jones v Tarver 3.
This could be one of the best ppv shows Sky have ever done , so FA and Punch promotions and Sky tv provide the fans with a mouth watering bill.
IBF TRIPLE HEADER Sheffield ?
I just think it will be too soon for Clinton after Gonzales. I'm not sure he's going to come through that one actually.
Do you think Damean Kelly could be involved also? Has a date/venue been confirmed for his IBF challenge.

Fabulous idea but it will never happen. Bear in mind Hatton will probably sell out the 15,000 on his own the undercard will not be that impressive IMO. They'll make a lot less money if they have to pay other big names to be on the card. While I dont expect the undercard to be as bad as the Hatton v Tszyu show I doubt we'll be seeing the sort of fights mentioned above.

king wants to keep his stranglehold on that cruiserweight division. unless thompson is given a no1 rating, i say this ain't happening.Riddick Blowe wrote:don't see bell going to england to fight a dangerman like thompson. He should just keep defending his paper title in the US or look to an important unification fight with Mormeck.
I think Clinton is in very real danger of losing his title here.steve689 wrote:On the subject of Sheffield is Rico Hoye fighting on the Woods-Gonzales undercard? And Stu i agree with you, i don't see Woods's fight a forgone conclusion either, Gonzales upset Michalczewski and i wouldn't be surprised if he did again to Clinton.
Without the home advantage its a pick em fight, for me.
