Don King will be ringside at Calzaghe-Ashira

This has just been brought up on the current scene, and ALI does ask a good question.

Would King really bother his arse to come over to watch one of his lesser knowns in all probability get beat fairly soundly? And Lacy isn't King's, so I'd doubt he's interested from that angle.

So does that leave an ulterior motive in Hatton?

I'm a little slow with yesterdays news, just caught up with it now, but The Sun newspaper & Sky TV have both confirmed Hatton has officially split from Warren/Sports Network.

A previous article on the BBC site mentions Hatton had openly discussed buisness with various promoters since dethroning Tyszu but not actually with King himself in person, but with one of Kings representatives.

Chances are they will be meeting in person soon!

And who knows, perhaps Calzaghe is also pissed with Warren. I doubt it, i believe he likes the comfort zone that Warren gives him, but you never know!

Sweet Krishna he better stay well clear of King. Don will have him stitched up like a kipper in the blink of an eye.
At least bring himself a heavyweight lawyer along, in which case he might escape serious long term damage.

Calzaghe will never leave Warren he gets the comfort zone he knows and loves fighting for him.

I expect King will be courting Hatton yes.

Question is, if King signs Hatton will Warren want to get into legal wranglings with King? Almost took him down last time.

Would Warren actually publicize the fact (as in stick it on his website) that King was over here, leading people to think that he's here to whisk Hatton away on his magic carpet?

Let me be the first and only guy to predict:

Evans Ashira causes the upset

I don't know what went down in his fight with Masoe, but I watched him hang tough and stop Jerry Elliott on a German card. He is not the mug that he's painted to be and great value at 10/1.

Calzaghe as we all know has been festering away, and degenerating whilst not fighting competitive type guys like this. I think Ashira will come in at his best and calzaghe at his worst. This will be an astronomical, ground shaking upset. It will also relieve Calzaghe of the need to fight Lacy of course, which he will be grateful for.

Riddick Blowe i don't think Ashira will win but i have said all along he is no mug, he battered Elliott with body shots all night. His fight with Masoe he just got caught cold and wasn't smashed away or anything, just caught with a big punch and never recovered sufficiently.
