Putting on a show (Unlicensed)

Post by TheGoods »

How much do you reckon you would need to fork out in terms of a venue, hiring a ring and getting the adequate medical people in etc?

Not concerned with wages for fighters etc just the pounds and pence of roughly how much it might cost to put on a night of fights in a ring?

All help appreciated.

I'm no expert on this, but I'd think the best way... (well cheapest) would be to do it in conjunction with a professional event (day before or after).

Kitting out a venue twice is more expensive than once, wouldn't ya think?

Anything to add which might help the OP out, or just dropped by for a misguided heckle?

A lad I know who does them every few months pays anything from £0 to £600 on the venue, the one he gets for free does it on basis of them getting extra alcohol revenue, his additional costs are ring girls, referee, 2 or 3 security staff - most of them getting £50 - £70, ring hire, medical staff etc, think his break even can be anything from £1200 to £2,000
