I actually don't think Carslaw is a terrible opponent as a voluntary, what I don't like is that Hall and Webb, far more worthy opponents, are having an eliminator (and in Hall's case a second eliminator) and Carslaw has gone the blind side to get the shot.

Carslaw is okay for a voluntary defence, once Webb and especially Hall have been dealt with.

So many other boxers he could fight: Ochieng (current Eng Champ) Selkirk, Webb, O'meara,
Doran(wherever he is?) Cox(wherever he is?) how did Carslaw get this fight and how did Rose get another voluntary fight?....This is the reason why boxing is losing its fight to MMA.
Everyone predicted Rose's last fight with Maxwell and the same with Carslaw. This match up is very poor

have you read the posts above? the eliminator hasnt happened yet so there is mandatory yet and until there is you are entitled to make voluntary defences

Very true, typical, like the English title where 4 fighters were initially involved, then 6, then in the end none of the other five to Ochieng gets a shot, instead Lowe who was not even chosen before gets the shot.

There is obviously other names out there aswell but Carslaws name has been floating about being mentioned since Webb and Aaron were both holding the titles. Obviously he has lost since then but i know hes had at least one fight after the loss with another tune up due in the next few weeks.

From a personal point of view i hope Carslaw proves people wrong but some of his performances in the past have been poor. I thought he was lucky to get the nod a few fights ago in the kelvin hall aswell (against i cant remember who)

Although i agree its a tall order for Carslaw, i hope he wins this.
There are plenty other fights at world level etc that should never take place, i wouldnt class this as a mis match of the degree we have seen elsewhere. Carslaw aint the least deserving guy to ever challenge for a british title and for that reason, if he pulled it off then it wouldnt be the biggest upset either.

Completely agree mate. Carslaw is nowhere near as bad an opponent as people think. There's good fights to be made domestically at 11st. Hall and Webb is a very decent fight so your still getting that as opposed to either of them going straight in with Rose.

defo pryce 2 get shot with that win over mendy up at middlweight just shows what great form he's in,and a worthy contender 4 the title!!!
