Well I gotta pick:
1. Kenny Lane...In my book, he should be in the HOF. He beat some top fighters of the era. Too bad he did not become champ.
2. Bobby Dykes...Another toughie that fought the best contenders and champions of the 50s. I believe his defining fight was with Gil Turner. Turner put him out of the ropes in the 5th, and then he rallied to get the win
3. Martin Vargas....Tough flyweight contender that had the bad luck to fight in the time of the great champ Miguel Canto
4. Orlando Zulueta...Another top flight Cuban that fought the very best lightweights of the 50s
5. Joe Miceli...tough welterweight. But lost too many fights!
