I have (tried) and you're right. He's monotony personified. I love these guys as fighters but people, in any field, who make for a good, unedited, interview of more than a couple of minutes are few and far between. It's not the subject's fault, really, it's the people who put up the videos.

Take control of your interview. Ask pertinent questions. Learn how to edit.
Yeah, i agree Mach. If you allow the said fighter to ramble on, he will do. In the case of Hopkins, he is so far up his own arse, he feels that he is teaching people things and it's in their own interests to listen and not interupt. Hopkins believes that he is akin to Richard Dawkins or Christopher Hitchens, when it comes to intellect, articulation, knowledge and wisdom. He just rambles on incoherently and repeats himself or gives five examples to make the same point and then comes out with statements like " I do boxing, but it's not who i am........" So tiresome. The guy is a great boxer and has some intelligence, but he thinks that everyone should lay down before him because he got shot three times, never went back to prison, became a champion and has made money. No-one has the guts to telll him that he is inarticulate most of the time, is boring and is stating the bleeding obvious when it comes explaining life's mysteries and complications.

Rant over :D
