Hello to all....I am a researching looking for information about Max Schmeling and the time that he spent in the US in 1929. I know that he was training in Lakewood NJ and prior to that at Madame Beys in Summit, NJ. I am looking for copies of newspaper and magazine articles that can document his time spent there. I am hoping that some one has copies of Ring Magazine from that era or any press that covered his training. Please send attachments or information directly to me at [email protected]. Contact the University of Notre Dame - library archives. Ask for George. They have a full collection of Ring Magazines. You might be able to make arrangements for a student to look through the 1929 volume for articles about Schmeling, if you can't make it out to South Bend yourself.
