Webb V Hall and the was it 10 or 12 rounds mistake
Webb V Hall and the was it 10 or 12 rounds mistake
I think Hall was effected by he and his corner's mistake of thinking it was a 10 rounder instead of a 12 rounder, could have made the difference, Hall threw everything he had in the 10th round thinking it was the last and seemed to have nothing afterwards, not the first time this has happened on a big promoters show, I don't know what his corner were thinking, did it not show as 12 rounds on boxrec for the last few months, strange one ?
Re: Webb V Hall and the was it 10 or 12 rounds mistake
I agree, I think it did affect him. He went to tap gloves at the end of the 10th and Farnell had told him at the start of the 9th there were a couple of rounds left. I thought only title bouts were 12 round and eiminators 10? A good bout though and Hall was hard on himself after the bout. He's a good fighter, in entertaining bouts and is still in the mix at light middle. Webb isa very decent and game boxer and both showed their personal class in the post bout interview.safeerah wrote:I think Hall was effected by he and his corner's mistake of thinking it was a 10 rounder instead of a 12 rounder, could have made the difference, Hall threw everything he had in the 10th round thinking it was the last and seemed to have nothing afterwards, not the first time this has happened on a big promoters show, I don't know what his corner were thinking, did it not show as 12 rounds on boxrec for the last few months, strange one ?

In my opinion Hall still has a lot to give and he put in a good performance against Webb, he is still a very good performer and no one will look forward to fighting him.palooka wrote:I agree, I think it did affect him. I agree, no way should Hall finish. Win or lose he I look forward to him boxing; he keeps trying and doesn't get scared when he gets hit back. I hope he carries on, gets a few wins and earns some dough; same for Webb, he's a good lad too.
Re: Webb V Hall and the was it 10 or 12 rounds mistake
There was no mistake made by myself or any of my team. We were told that it was a 10 rounder, straight after ther fight I made my complaint to the appropriate people and as far as I am concerned that is the end of the matter. The mistake was made but not by me. Well Done Sam.
Re: Webb V Hall and the was it 10 or 12 rounds mistake
Webb and his team believed it to be a 12 rounder and was not it advertised on Boxrec as a 12 rounder, also the allegedly team thought it was 12 rounds as well, it is a an eliminator so they would surely be a contract with rounds and purse on it, seems strange to me how one fighter can be training for 12 and another for 10 for the same fight, with the Jeffries saga it was just an ordinary fight against a journeyman and it was changed a few times before, so there was uncertainty from the start, but this is an eliminator and it should be decided from the start, but still Hall fought well and decieved better.Arniesgym wrote:There was no mistake made by myself or any of my team. Smashing ,
There was a difference .
Hall v Carslaw was an eliminator so was a 10 round fight.
Hall v Webb was a Final Eliminator which are 12 round fights .

So does this mean that Hall / Arnie etc. either did not know that this was a final eliminator or do they not know the rules ?STEVE WOOD wrote:Smashing ,

As said previously, you would also expect the contract to stipulate the number of rounds - surely somebody in Hall's camp must have been aware of this ?

You off again ? When we were with Warren we did except Hall twice, when he was offered, but it never materialised for some reason. One of them was when Hall fought on the Horta show, we was suposed to fight him then, but we did not get it, so we left our promoter frustration, can you imagine how we felt when he was beaten by a virtual journeyman on the same show, since then however he has looked great and was unlucky after the mix up to lose a close decisionin his last fight, he is still a good fighter and style wise it would have been a good fight, I think personally he will retire as he expects a lot from himself and he don't like to be second best.Tommy Gunn13 wrote:Saf...Would you put you lad in with Hall? good yard sticksafeerah wrote:Webb and his team believed it to be a 12 rounder and was not it advertised on Boxrec as a 12 rounder, also the Allegedly channel team thought it was 12 rounds as well, it is a an eliminator so they would surely be a contract with rounds and purse on it, seems strange to me how one fighter can be training for 12 and another for 10 for the same fight, with the Jeffries saga it was just an ordinary fight against a journeyman and it was changed a few times before, so there was uncertainty from the start, but this is an eliminator and it should be decided from the start, but still Hall fought well and decieved better.Arniesgym wrote:There was no mistake made by myself or any of my team.
