Yeh I saw that last week, the sauna anecdote amused Tyson more than anyone else! Thought he came across quite well in fairness. Looking forward to the treble world title defence at Croke Park.

Modern day, I'd say Alonso was the man in the premier league.

Jan Molby couldn't run even if he wanted too! your right though, its all about reading the game and people like McGrath were great at it, Molby was a 'pass' master.

So true. Think I'd trade seeing him play for my youth back though lol

On a serious note he was always a second or two ahead in the game. Despite some recent (and to now rare) poor games, Ledley King is probably the closest comparison and not just because of his injuries! Both laid back and shy off the pitch too.

McGrath has to be the best pure defender I've seen play in the flesh though.
